In 2016, the torch of leadership was passed on to me to lead Mendero Medical Center. It marked a new dawn — one where I carry forward the legacy of my father, Dr. Samuel Mendero Sr. The years since have been both challenging and fulfilling, defined by growth and transformation across our hospitals. We have consolidated our brands and positioned ourselves as a network of healthcare facilities dedicated to bringing compassionate, reliable, and affordable care closer to those who need it most. What began as a single hospital has now grown into a thriving network — with Level 2 hospitals in Cebu and Pagadian, and dedicated dialysis centers in Sogod and Siquijor.
Today, I am honored to introduce Mendero Group — the unifying brand that brings together our hospitals and dialysis centers under one name. This is a brand you can trust, one committed to continuous improvement and a lasting mission: to heal, to mend, and to care — especially for the underprivileged. For over 30 years, our hospitals have stood for this commitment. Now, as a group, we look to the future with even greater resolve: to expand our reach, deepen our compassion, and remain true to the values and legacy of our founding leaders, especially my father.
