2025 WORLD DAY AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS

The Local Government of Tantangan, under the leadership of Mayor Timee Joy Torres-Gonzales, Vice Mayor Ceasar Dasilao, 18th council, and MSWDO Melanie L. Abueva, RSW and in collaboration with all barangays in the municipality, joins the observance of the 2025 World Day Against Trafficking in Persons on July 30, 2025, with the theme: "Iisang Nasyon,Iisang Aksyon: Tapusin ang Human Trafficking Ngayon".

The LGU of Tantangan, through the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC), continues to implement various programs and advocacy efforts to combat human trafficking and protect the human rights and dignity of every citizen.

Recovery and Reintegration Program for Trafficked Persons (RRPRT) under the Department of Social Welfare and Development XII conducted capacity enhancement for Social Workers handling Human Trafficking in Person.

In line of the observance of World Day Against Trafficking which is held yearly on July 30. This year’s theme “Iisang Nasyon, Iisang Aksyon: Tapusin ang Human Trafficking Ngayon” which is a violation of human rights.
