Nellen Y. Yadao, PTRP, CSPT, accompanied by Diana L. Nebria, MD, FPARM, recently completed training in the International Schroth 3-Dimensional Scoliosis Therapy (ISST). We are thrilled to share that Nellen has successfully passed the first part of the Basic Training—making her the first physical therapist certified for ISST in Surigao City. 🎉

This milestone reflects not only her dedication to professional growth but also our department’s commitment to delivering advanced, evidence-based care for patients with scoliosis.

CRH Dialysis Unit Hosts First Fun Run in Celebration of National Kidney Month 🎉

June 29, 2025 – In a spirited celebration of National Kidney Month, the CRH Dialysis Unit successfully held its very first Fun Run event, promoting kidney health and community wellness.

Participants from all walks of life gathered early in the morning, donning bright running gear and ready smiles, as the event kicked off with a short health talk from Dr. Licuan. In her inspiring message, she shared simple yet vital guidelines to protect and preserve kidney function:

The 8 Golden Rules for Keeping Our Kidneys Healthy:

1. Exercise regularly
2. Low salt diet
3. Drink plenty of water
4. Control blood sugar
5. Monitor blood pressure
6. Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol
7. Limit overuse of painkillers
8. Get your kidneys checked if at risk

Adding to the excitement, the CRH-PMR Department led by Dr. Nebria proudly joined the event, demonstrating their full support for kidney awareness and healthy living.

The event concluded with a short cool-down session, raffle prizes, and words of encouragement from the organizing team. This successful Fun Run not only promoted physical activity but also served as a powerful reminder of the small steps everyone can take to protect their kidneys for life.
