St. Martin de Porres Charity Hospital envisions to be a quality and affordable health care provider to the less privileged members of society.

Martin de Porres Charity Hospital (SMPCH) was originally known as Blessed Martin de Porres Free Clinic. It started as a tiny seed in just a simple one-room at the ground floor of the Covenant of the Dominican Fathers in San Juan, Rizal (now San Juan City) on September 27, 1959. The setting of a FREE CLINIC was the generous response of the members of the Dominican Tertiaries (now Dominican Laity), headed by Dr. Aleli R. Guzman Quirino, O.P., to the Lord's command of love which serve as an inspiration for them to give aid to the needy through medical and either related services. Their determined concern to serve the poor was marked by their faith in the Divine Providence, endurance and perseverance. This humble project became the springboard for what SMPCH today. Thanks to the collaboration of the Dominican Family (Fathers, Sisters and Dominican Laity), Doctors, Nurses and Para-social Volunteers who have rendered their generous time and service, either free of charge or allowance basis. This apostolate, love and service blossomed through 61 years of continuous dedication. The one-room clinic expanded to the present structure, with two (2) four storey buildings and facilities made possible through generous donations and financial assistance from benefactors here and abroad.
