The Philippine Marine Corps Foundation Inc. (PMCFI), led by Executive Director Lt. Gen. Juancho M. Sabban AFP(Ret) and Chief Finance Officer Brig. Gen. Rodylyn T. Manzano PN(M)(Res), provided support for the Naval Reserve Command's recent community outreach on August 30, 2025, at Baseco, Manila.

Held in celebration of the 46th National Reservist Week, the program brought free medical services, a feeding program, and relief packs to Baseco residents affected by recent typhoons. We are proud to have PMCFI volunteer Dr. Cherry Ann B. Co and other generous donors working alongside the Navy and Marine Reservists in serving our fellow countrymen. Special thanks to Lt. Col. Irwin C. Tieng PN(M)(RES), a Philippine Navy Marines reservist also a Congressman of the 5th District of Manila, a very strong supporter of PMCFI for the donation of hygiene kits and much needed medicines and skin ointments.

We're thankful to partner with the Ronald McDonald House Charities to kick off our countdown to the 75th Marine Birthday! With just 70 days to go, our team at PMCFI is delivering refreshing apple juice to all Marine units and offices. We're also extending this to the communities in their areas of responsibility.

This initiative is a small way for us to show our gratitude and support for the brave men and women of the Philippine Marine Corps.

A donation of 35 gift packs was received from Congressman Irwin C. Tieng, who represents the 5th District of Manila and also holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Philippine Marine Corps Reserve. The donation, made through the Philippine Marine Corps Foundation, Inc. (PMCFI), was ceremonially handed over on August 26, 2025, to AFP Medical Center V. Luna.

Present at the ceremony were representatives from the PMCFI, including Chief Finance Officer BGEN Rodylyn T. Manzano PN(M)(Res), acting on behalf of Executive Director Lt. Gen. Juancho M. Sabban AFP (Ret.). The donation, consisting of imported canned goods, juices, and snacks, was distributed to sailors and Marine patients confined at the hospital. This gift-giving activity continues a series of events, including previous donations on August 19, 2025, at the Manila Naval Hospital and the Philippine Marine Corps Modular Health Facility.

The Philippine Marine Corps is deeply grateful for Congressman Tieng's generosity and support. He has been conducting these gift-giving activities since 2007 and, together with the PMCFI, plans to continue his charitable efforts with another donation to Marine patients at Marine Barracks Gregorio Lim, Ternate, Cavite.
