🐾 SERVICE WITH COMPASSION – PET WELFARE INITIATIVE 🐾

CONDUCTED AT RCDG–NCR, FORT BONIFACIO, TAGUIG CITY

The activity was spearheaded by MAJOR MARK ANTHONY U QUILANG VETERINARY CORPS, Chief, Veterinary Clinic – and executed with utmost efficiency – made possible through the invaluable guidance and full support of the Commanding Officer, General Hospital, Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group, Philippine Army (GH, HHSG, PA). Critical care was delivered to canine and feline companions in the local community, with essential services rendered including:

• 📘 TROOPS INFORMATION & EDUCATION ON RABIES AWARENESS

This mission reinforces our unit’s unwavering commitment to advancing animal health, safeguarding public safety, and fostering responsible pet ownership – directly aligning with RCDG–NCR’s broader mandate of community service, as well as GH, HHSG, PA’s priority on holistic community care. DONATION TURN-OVER CEREMONY | AFPSLAI x VETERINARY CLINIC

19 December 2025, a successful donation turn-over was conducted between AFPSLAI and the Veterinary Clinic, General Hospital (GH) , Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group, Philippine Army (HHSG, PA), led by COL CAESAR ALMER E CANDELARIA MC (GSC), Commanding Officer, GH, HHSG, PA, and MAJ MARK ANTHONY U QUILANG VC, Chief, Veterinary Service.

This initiative reinforces AFPSLAI’s steadfast commitment to enhancing animal health services and welfare across the AFP community. Donated items – including a television unit and water dispenser – will directly support the clinic’s daily operational requirements.

In line with our core values, this gesture demonstrates that compassion and service extend to all members of our AFP family – including our furry companions who rely on our care.

🎖️ MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: 66TH FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY + YEAR-END CELEBRATION—A VICTORIOUS FINALE TO A YEAR OF DUTY AND CARE 🎖️

As we conclude not only our anniversary week but the entire 2025 operational year, our ranks stand united in pride—for every moment was a testament to our core tenet: COMPASSION IS OUR PASSION. This is how we honor our legacy and close out the year with purpose.

Below is the after-action review of the milestone events that merged our 66th anniversary with year-end festivities:

⚡ DAY 1 (02 DECEMBER 2025): TEAM RUN & AMAZING RACE
We moved out as one unit. Speed was secondary—this was about cohesion, mutual support, and embodying our promise to "stand by those we serve." Every step reinforced the unity that carried us through 365 days of mission-critical care.

🩺 DAY 2 (03 DECEMBER 2025): HEALTH CARE FAIR
Our commitment to care was put into action with free check-ups, screenings, and a holistic wellness initiative. A FORMAL EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE to our sponsors—your generosity enabled accessible health services for Military Personnel, their dependents, and Civilian Human Resources.

💪 DAY 3 (04 DECEMBER 2025): ZUMBA DANCE FITNESS SESSION
We trained, moved, and celebrated physical wellness as a force multiplier. Caring for the body strengthens the spirit—and dancing as one, regardless of rank or ability, reminded us that compassion includes lifting each other up as we cross the year’s finish line.

🙏 DAY 4 (05 DECEMBER 2025): THANKSGIVING MASS + ANNIVERSARY SOCIALS (THEME: DENIMS & DIAMONDS)
We began with a moment of reflection—honoring the hands that healed, the hearts that served, and the community that entrusted us with their care. The "Denims & Diamonds" theme embodied our identity: denim for the rugged, dedicated spirit that defines our service; diamonds for the unwavering compassion that shines in every mission we undertake—fitting for toasting 66 years of legacy and the year’s achievements.

Sixty-six years of honorable service, and one more year of making a tangible difference—all rooted in the passion that drives our unit forward. To our personnel, volunteers, patients, sponsors, and community: you made this dual celebration a resounding success.

General Hospital Veterinary Services Team Conducts Successful Civic Action Program

22 November 2025 – The General Hospital, Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group, Philippine Army Veterinary Services Team, under the leadership of MAJ MARK ANTHONY U QUILANG VC, with the support of SSg Lomaad PA and Cpl Mendoza PA, successfully executed a Multi-Social and Medical Civic Action Program at La Naval Masonic Lodge Grand Centennial Plaza, Moonstone Street, Kawit, Cavite.

The Veterinary Services Team delivered essential preventive medical care to a total of eighty-one (81) animals, thereby strengthening public health initiatives and promoting responsible pet ownership within the community. Key services included:

- Canine Preventative Care:
Rabies Vaccination (22), Deworming (24), Spay/Neuter (2), Tick and Flea Treatment (3)

- Feline Preventative Care:
Rabies Vaccination & Deworming (8), Spay/Neuter (12), Tick and Flea Treatment (2)

Program Impact:

✔️ Rabies Vaccinations Administered: 30
✔️ Deworming Treatments Provided: 32
✔️ Animals Sterilized (Spay/Neuter): 14
✔️ Animals Treated for Ticks and Fleas: 5

This successful operation reflects the unwavering commitment of General Hospital to the health and well-being of both the human and animal populations it serves.

GENERAL HOSPITAL : SUPPORTING THE HEALTH OF OUR SCOUT RANGERS

In support of the First Scout Ranger Regiment's (FSRR) 75th Founding Anniversary, General Hospital, HHSG, PA, in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Surgeon, PA, provided essential medical support during the FSRR Health & Wellness Fair held on 20 November 2025 at Camp Gen Tecson, San Miguel, Bulacan.

(Orthopedics) and CPT ARIELLE R VIDAL MC (Internal Medicine), along with their team comprising Cpl Bonita and PFC Aballe, delivered expert medical consultations to FSRR personnel.
