The Tampilisan Rural Health Unit team, together with the participating medical students, successfully conducted the PhilHealth YAKAP on-site registration, updating, and profiling to make essential services more accessible to the community. Through the combined efforts of the RHU staff, barangay workers, and the medical students, more families were assisted, updated, and properly documented under PhilHealthโ€”strengthening healthcare access for all.

Barangay-wide efforts in Barangay Camul continue to emphasize strict adherence to leashing laws and responsible pet registration. To support this initiative, the medical students distributed 100 pet collars and leashes, ensuring that households with pets can properly comply with the ordinance. We are pleased to announce the acquisition of a new nebulizer for the Barangay Camul Health Station, strengthening the barangayโ€™s capacity to respond to respiratory emergencies. With the barangay located 4.6 kilometers away from the Tampilisan Rural Health Unit, timely medical intervention can be challengingโ€”especially during urgent situations involving children, seniors, and vulnerable individuals.

This newly acquired nebulizer will now allow immediate care within the barangay, ensuring faster relief, improved safety, and better health outcomes for the community. A small step that makes a big difference in saving lives.

We officially launched the 2026 Vegetable Garden Contest at Camul Elementary School, inspiring students to transform recyclable materials into meaningful garden innovations. This yearโ€™s theme, โ€œFrom Trash to Treasure,โ€ highlights creativity, sustainability, and the importance of growing fresh, nutritious produce within the school community. Through teamwork, environmental awareness, and hands-on learning, our young gardeners are taking the lead in turning simple spaces into thriving vegetable gardensโ€”proving that even small actions can create a big impact.

During the joint meeting with the Local Health Board and the different departments of the Municipality of Tampilisan, we presented and discussed the concerns outlined in our Pawteksyon initiativeโ€”highlighting the rising stray animal population, increasing bite cases, public health risks, existing ordinances, and the proposed solutions such as pet registration, leashing laws, and the Mass Spay & Neuter program.

We extend our gratitude to Mayor Angeles Carloto II, Vice Mayor Norabeth "Bading" Carloto, and our supportive Municipal Health Officer Dr. Maita Ladeza, whose guidance and involvement strengthen our efforts toward building a safer and healthier Tampilisan for both residents and animals.
