These heartfelt reflections emerged during the activity, ""Exploring Mindfulness as a Tool for Recovery Among Residential Patients of DOH TTRC,"" held last August 13, 2025, headed by the Psychology Section and facilitated by Ms. Karen P. Sol, assisted by Ms. Jimenez.

Residents engaged in practical mindfulness exercises - breathing techniques, grounding through the five senses, and reflective sharing of life experiences. Through these, they not only discovered ways to manage stress and reconnect with themselves, but also learned to be more in touch with the value of rest as a vital part of healing and recovery. Most importantly, they recognized mindfulness as a protective factor in navigating the daily stresses of life beyond the Center, and began to embrace it not just as a practice - but as a lifeline for emotional resilience and inner peace.

In the quiet, many found clarity. In the stillness, some rediscovered themselves. And in the presence of others, they felt seen, heard, and supported.
