| The Trento Rural Health Unit (RHU) was honored with a Plaque of Appreciation during the Health Summit 2025 held at the Provincial Learning Center, Gov. D.O. Plaza Government Center, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, on October 9.

Represented by Dr. Joanny Jaspher R. Raz, the recognition was given in grateful acknowledgment of RHU Trento’s unwavering support and commitment to the implementation of the Non-Communicable Diseases Prevention and Control Program. Moreover, the RHU’s vital role in promoting health education, facilitating early detection, and providing continuous care to the community has been instrumental in reducing the burden of non-communicable diseases and raising the standards of public health service in the municipality.

This milestone affirms the LGU Trento’s steadfast commitment to advancing accessible, quality, and sustainable health programs for its people, ensuring that public health remains a top priority in building a healthier community.

LOOK | The Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Trento was re-awarded for its outstanding performance during the Provincial Health Office (PHO) Program Implementation Review, with the awarding ceremony held at the Multi-purpose Evacuation Center today, September 1.

The re-awarding ceremony was led by Municipal Mayor Kristoffer G. Calvez together with Municipal Health Officer Dr. Christine Joy C. Macalagay.

RHU was honored as the Top Performing Facility in the Implementation of the Environmental Sanitation Program 2024 and the Top Performing Health Facility in FHSIS Reporting. It also achieved 100% Adolescent-Friendly Health Facility Certification.

Additionally, RHU Trento’s Health Education and Promotion Unit earned second place during the Rabies Awareness Month “AVP Posting Contest,” garnering 7.2K views, 269 likes, and 132 shares. A Plaque of Recognition was likewise awarded for the RHU’s unwavering commitment to health programs that promote a healthy, safe, and resilient Agusan del Sur.

Ang Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment o TPT ay isang gamot na ibinibigay sa taong na-expose sa isang Tuberculosis (TB) patient.

Mabilis ang transmission o pagkalat ng TB dahil maaaring maipasa ito sa pag-ubo, pagbahing at pagdura.

Ang TPT ay napatunayang mabisa at ligtas na paraan para maprotektahan ang mga high-risk individuals at mapigilan ang pagkalat ng TB.

PhilHealth Konsulta Program 2.0 to provide better care for Filipinos 🩺❤️

The newly launched Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation is designed to provide better and more comprehensive primary care services for Filipinos.

According to PhilHealth President and CEO Dr. Edwin M. Mercado, YAKAP aims to further lessen the out-of-pocket expenses of Filipino families by expanding the coverage of essential health needs, including free medicines, broader range of consultations and health screenings, and more extensive laboratory and diagnostic tests.

YAKAP offers 20,000 credit line per member with the integration of 75 free medicines and inclusion of mammogram, colonoscopy, and other tests to promote early detection for chronic diseases.
