This medication is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Telmisartan belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs). It works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily.

Formulation:
Each tablet contains:
Telmisartan USP ...... 40mg

Indication:
Used in the management of hypertension.

Dosage and Administration:
In hypertension, telmisartan is given in an initial dose of 40 mg once daily. This may be increased, if necessary, to a maximum dose of 80 mg once daily. Lower doses should be considered in patients with hepatic or renal impairment.
