The St. Camillus Hospital of Calbayog celebrated its 28th Founding Anniversary last May 24, 2024. The hospital community gathered in prayer during the thanksgiving mass presided by Fr. John Paul Alvarado, MI, SCHI CEO, and concelebrated by Fr. Gabriel Garcia, MI, Hospital Director, and Fr. Jaime Roa, MI, Hospital Chaplain and doctor.

After thanking God for all the graces received and lifting to God the hospital’s intentions and goals, everyone proceeded to the conference hall for the culminating event. In the program, the SCH-Calbayog staff-collaborators showcased their talents in singing, dancing in a well organized, lively and spectaculat production which was highlighted by the search for Ginoo at Binibining St. Camillus Hospital 2024.

On May 27, the hospital community opened its sportsfest 2024 with a motorcade in the city of Calbayog. Afterwhich, everyone was pumped up for the raising of sports banners and were awed by the amazing performance of the different teams during the cheer dance competition.

Furthermore, on May 28, the SCHI-CEO met
with the hospital’s management committee and discussed the operational management standardization of all SCHIs.

Then on May 29, the department heads assisted the SCHI CEO in touring around the different areas and work stations in the hospital where they discussed the existing set-up, challenges and future plans. Finally the official visit was wrapped up with the exit conference and discussion with the hospital’s Executive Committee.

𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘁. 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 - 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗶

The SCHI-CEO, Fr. John Paul B. Alvarado, MI, wrapped up his week-long visit in the different Camillian Socio-Health Institutions in Metro Manila at St. Camillus Polyclinic- Makati on May 17, 2024.

The visit was highlighted by the discussion on the institution’s profile, strategic plan, financial reports and the different areas, sections and workstations of the polyclinic. Afterwhich, the CEO gave his commendations, recommendations and areas for improvement which the institution needs to work on towards recovery, growth and sustainability.

𝐂𝐄𝐎 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬

Last May 15-16, Fr. John Paul Alvarado, MI, the CEO of all the St. Camillus Healthcare Institutions visited Camillus Medhaven Nursing Home. On the first day, the CEO met with the Management Committee and presented the first SCHI Strategic Goals and Standardized Operational Management Balanced Scorecard. Then the presentation, discussion and deliberation of the institution’s profile, strategic plan and financial reports happened.

On the second day, the CEO together with the Executive Committee toured around the different branches of Camillus Medhaven. The group first went to St. Camillus Medhaven Antipolo, then they proceeded to St. Camilllus Medhaven Dementia Village and finally in Camillus Medhaven Main branch. During the visit, the respective heads discussed the existing set-up, challenges they are facing and plans moving forward.

The CEO again thanked everyone for their commitment and hard work and shared his valuable insights in improving mechanisms, SOPs and strategies in the perspective of organizational development. The visit was wrapped up with the meeting with the Management Committee where the CEO presented his commendations, recommendations and areas for improvement which will be cascaded to the whole organization for monitoring and oversight to ensure accomplishment of deliverables and shared goals. ✊

𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘁. 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿

Our Chief Executive Officer, Fr. John Paul B. Alvarado, MI, has started his official visitation in all St. Camillus Healthcare Institutions as part of the standardization of the operational management of all SCHIs.

Last May 13-14, the CEO visited St. Camillus Medical Center. On the first day, the CEO met with the Management Committee and explained the purpose and importance of the operational management standardization journey. Then the presentation of SCMC’s strategic plan, institutional profile and financial report followed where a dynamic discussion and deliberation happened.

On the second day, the CEO together with the Executive Committee toured around the different departments, areas and workstations where the respective heads discussed the existing set-up, challenges they are facing and plans moving forward. The Executive Committee of all St. Camillus Healthcare Institutions (SCHI) namely; St. Camillus Medical Center, St. Camillus Hospital of Calbayog, St. Camillus Hospital of Mati, Camillus Medhaven Nursing Home, and St. Camillus Polyclinic- Makati have been convened (online) on May 8, 2024.

During the meeting, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Fr. John Paul Alvarado, MI, discussed and presented the first-ever SCHI Strategic Goals which all institutions will ensure to accomplish in the spirit of proactivity and synergy for the next three years (2024 - 2026).

Moreover, a comprehensive Standardized Operational Management Balanced Scorecard was also discussed and presented by Fr. Alvarado which the whole SCHI team confirmed and validated.

Through these standardization efforts, the whole SCHIs are in high hopes and spirits towards institutional recovery, sustainability & a more creative and impactful witnessing of the Camillian mission.

The Camillians - Philippine Province sets its sights on finally standardizing the operational management of all its healthcare institutions under the brand of St. Camillus Healthcare Institutions.

This is a venture that will be very challenging but is vital in the recovery & sustainability of all SCHIs and the continuous witnessing of the Camillian mission.
