BIENVENIDOS! | STAFF VISIT at 1306th PAF DENTAL DISPENSARY |

EDWIN ANDREWS AIR BASE, ZAMBOANGA CITY — On July 10-13, 2025, the Office of The Chief, Air Force Dental Service, held a Staff Visit to 1306th PAF Dental Dispensary.

COL HARVENIO OMAR E VELEÑA VI DS (MNSA) conducted a productive Capability Assessment Framework Initiative. This engagement strengthens our commitment to delivering quality dental care and enhancing the welfare of our Air Force personnel by sharing knowledge about the essence of PAF iDENTIS application.

This activity also asses progress, provide support, gather information, and measure the unit’s capability to cater personnel of Edwin Andrews Air Base, Zamboanga City.

Together with CPT HANNAH MARIEL P DUMLAO DS, the Chief, Admin and Personnel Branch, the Staff Visit became the bridge for queries and sharing knowledge about the PAF Identis Application.

TSg Josephus Allen C Serna PAF, Responsible Supply Non-Commissioned Officer delivered support through sharing his knowledge for the unit capability.

Sgt Deny A Barros PAF, the Assistant NCOIC Dental Development Branch, shared his expertise during Talk-to-Troops for the soft launch of the PAF Identis Mobile Application available for android phone users.

AW Jurilyn M Rivera PAF, the Administration Helper, Admin & Pers Branch, shared her part as the support personnel for the over-all success of the activity.

READ I DENTAL UPDATE: A day of learning, reflection, and inspiration. Honoring commitment to principled service in military dentistry, strengthening service through ethics and excellence!

The Office of the Chief Air Force Dental Service, headed by COL HARVENIO OMAR E VELEÑA VI DS (MNSA), proudly holds its Professional Development Seminar with the theme: "Principle and Professionalism: Empowering Military Dental Professionals through Ethical Excellence."

A ponderous and engaging session has been successfully lectured by respected subject-matter-experts from COL ALBERTO R QUIAOIT II CHS (GSC), MAJOR DONALD S SORIANO PAF, 2LT VIOLA P CHOCOWEN PAF and Dr. Rahfie C. Nullar, CHRP, covering the topics from Code of Conduct, work ethics and behavioral education in the workplace, and reflection of ethical, spiritual and effective practice of the military dental professionals.

The seminar underscores the reframing of core values that guide every military dental officer, enlisted personnel, and civilian dental professionals in serving their best in the workplace. Through this initiative, the office ensures that participants are united by purpose and guided by ethics to provide a service with integrity, service above self, teamwork, excellence, and professionalism.

DENTAL UPDATE: READ | A SUCCESSFUL WRAP-UP OF THE PAFDS DENTAL EQUIPMENT REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE TRAINING 2025

Every tool tells a story, and proper maintenance keeps that story going.

Headed by the Chief, Air Force Dental Service, COL HARVENIO OMAR E VELEÑA VI DS (MNSA), a 3-day Dental Equipment Repair and Maintenance Training (DERMT) was successfully conducted from June 24 to 27, 2025, at the 1301st PAF Dental Dispensary, CJVAB, Pasay City, and was participated in by dental personnel from different PAF Dental Treatment Facilities and from PA Dental Service. The goal of this training is to provide hands-on learning activities that sharpen skills in dental equipment repair and maintenance, while ensuring safe and smooth delivery of dental care.

Service excellence begins with dependable tools, and so the Office of the Chief Air Force Dental Service ensures that our dental units are combat-ready and clinic-capable.

A big salute to our skilled lecturers, Mr. Guillermo A. Magbayao and Mr. Nickson V. Maravilla, in partnership with the Dent Precision Import Enterprise, for their commitment to strengthening the backbone of dental care.

TODAY IS NATIONAL FLAG DAY!🇵🇭

NATIONAL FLAG DAYS | The Armed Forces of the Philippines proudly joins the nation in commemorating National Flag Days from May 28 to June 12, 2025.

This solemn observance honors the birth of our national flag, first unfurled on May 28, 1898, in Alapan, Imus, Cavite, after the Philippine Revolutionary Army’s victory over Spanish forces. It was formally presented to the people on June 12, 1898, during the declaration of independence.

As defenders of the Republic, we in the AFP remain steadfast in upholding the values our flag represents—freedom, justice, and love of country.
