𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗙𝗔𝗤𝘀:

1. 𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙄𝙎 𝘼 𝙁𝙇𝙐 𝙎𝙃𝙊𝙏
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), influenza or flu vaccines “cause antibodies to develop in the body about two weeks after vaccination.” In turn, those antibodies give you protection against infections caused by the same viruses that were used in making that vaccine.

2. 𝙒𝙃𝙊 𝘾𝘼𝙉 𝙂𝙀𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙁𝙇𝙐 𝙎𝙃𝙊𝙏
CDC recommends that everyone aged 6 MONTHS AND ABOVE should get their flu vaccine every year.

3. 𝙒𝙃𝙔 𝙂𝙀𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙁𝙇𝙐 𝙎𝙃𝙊𝙏
Influenza (flu) is a potentially serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and other health complications. It is said that the best way to prevent yourself from getting the flu is to get vaccinated.

4. 𝘾𝘼𝙉 𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙎 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙏𝙀𝘾𝙏 𝙈𝙀 𝙁𝙍𝙊𝙈 𝘾𝙊𝙑𝙄𝘿-19
The flu vaccine protects you from the flu which is caused by the influenza virus. COVID-19 is caused by a DIFFERENT virus which requires protection from a DIFFERENT vaccine. It is recommended that you get BOTH flu and COVID-19 vaccines.

5. 𝘾𝘼𝙉 𝙄 𝙂𝙀𝙏 𝘽𝙊𝙏𝙃 𝙁𝙇𝙐 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝘾𝙊𝙑𝙄𝘿-19 𝙑𝘼𝘾𝘾𝙄𝙉𝙀𝙎 𝘼𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙎𝘼𝙈𝙀 𝙏𝙄𝙈𝙀
Earlier in the pandemic, CDC guidance was to space out COVID-19 immunizations with other vaccines since they were new. The CDC now says that receiving the COVID-19 vaccine at the same time you get the flu shot is safe and won’t affect your immune response to either one. However, it’s also okay if you prefer to get your flu and COVID-19 shots on separate dates. The most important thing is to be vaccinated against both viruses.
