• Legs uncrossed
• Back supported
• Uninterrupted rest for 5 minutes before measurement

💪 Arm and Cuff Position
• Use the non-dominant arm unless there’s a >10 mmHg difference between arms
• Arm supported at heart level
• Cuff bladder should cover more than 80% of the arm circumference
• Cuff must be at the same height as the heart

💓 Before Measuring
• Palpate the pulse to ensure sinus rhythm
• If atrial fibrillation (AF) is suspected, use the auscultatory method
• Use a validated oscillometric monitor

📊 During Measurement
• Take at least two readings at each sitting
• Ensure the patient is relaxed, silent, and still
