October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – a time to raise awareness, support fighters and survivors, and spread knowledge that can save lives.

👩‍⚕️ What is Breast Cancer?
Breast cancer is a disease where cells in the breast grow out of control. It can affect both women and men, although it is far more common in women.

🔍 Early Signs & Symptoms to Watch For:
A lump or thickening in or near the breast or underarm area
Change in the size or shape of the breast
Dimpling or puckering of the skin
Ni**le discharge (especially if bloody)
Inverted ni**le or changes in the ni**le
Redness, scaliness, or swelling of the breast skin or ni**le
Pain in the breast or ni**le area

🩺 Early Detection Saves Lives
Detecting breast cancer early greatly improves chances of successful treatment.
✅ Tips for Early Detection:
Do monthly breast self-exams
Get regular clinical breast exams (every 1-3 years after age 20)
Schedule annual mammograms (starting around age 40 or earlier if at high risk)
