🌎Join us for an insightful International Webinar entitled “From Frailty to Function: Evidence-Based Physical Therapy Practice in Geriatric Deconditioning.”

📖This session will be delivered by Mr. John Matthew D. Zarate, one of our esteemed faculty members, and hosted by our international partner - Assam Down Town University, India. The webinar will highlight current evidence-based strategies in managing geriatric deconditioning and optimizing functional outcomes.

Our first-year Physical Therapy students had a chance to pause, breathe, and connect during our Wellness Day: "Kamustahan" . Organized by the non-clinical PT interns, the activity provided a safe and welcoming space for freshmen to share their first-semester experiences through an interactive bingo-style kamustahan. Students openly shared their challenges, small wins, and academic journeys, while interns offered encouragement, guidance, and reassurance. With shared stories, warm conversations, and comfort food 🧀☕, the activity strengthened bonds within the PT community and truly reflected the spirit of "Pause. Connect. Care."

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗣 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 🤝

The 7th Academe–Industry Linkages and Pathways (AILP) Annual Dialogue was successfully held on 24 January 2026, at the Lecture Hall of the RISE Tower, Our Lady of Fatima University.

The event gathered 65 attendees from various industry partners and academic stakeholders. It featured a seminar entitled “𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀,” delivered by Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila’s College of Physical Therapy Assistant Professor 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗚. 𝗥𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀, 𝗠𝗢𝗛, 𝗣𝗧𝗥𝗣.

The dialogue concluded with the Awarding of Certificates and recognition of the Top 3 Best Industry Partners, honoring their valuable contributions to strengthening academe–industry collaboration and clinical education.

A meaningful milestone unfolded as we welcomed our February 2026 Batch of Physical Therapy interns during the Internship Orientation, held last January 17, 2026, at the RISE Tower Lecture Hall, together with their proud and supportive parents. ✨

Filled with excitement, a few nerves, and countless dreams, our interns officially took their first step into the clinical world—where learning goes beyond books, skills are honed through experience, and compassion becomes action. 💪📘

This orientation marked the beginning of a journey grounded in professionalism, teamwork, and a shared commitment to excellence. As they move forward, may they continue to grow, learn, and serve with heart—making a real difference in the lives of their future patients. 🌱

Before the close of 2025, the OLFU College of Physical Therapy had the privilege of representing the University at the 3rd International Conference on Health Technology Assessment, held on December 13–14, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

During the conference, our very own Dean Hernan C. Labao served as Chairman of the Research Presentation Board, facilitating scholarly discussions on the application of rehabilitation through a multidisciplinary approach.

Further strengthening OLFU’s international presence, Mr. John Matthew D. Zarate (CPT Valenzuela Faculty) and Mr. Justine Vincent D. Ramos (CPT Pampanga Program Head) presented their work on technology-based assessments and interventions in Physical Therapy, showcasing innovative approaches that enhance patient care through advanced technology.

Meanwhile, Ms. Maybelle Anne L. Zamora (CPT Quezon City Program Head) presented her research on Advanced Technological Interventions in Physical Therapy, as one of the conference highlights under the Young Scientist forum.

This international gathering provided a meaningful platform for our researchers to share cutting-edge findings and contribute to the growing field of health technology in rehabilitation. The conference was hosted and organized by Hong Bang International University.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the OLFU Administration and the OLFU Research Development and Innovation Center (RDIC) for their continued support in advancing research, leadership and global engagement in Physical Therapy. Thank you so much for empowering research and international collaboration.

Last December 16, our December PT Board passers paid a visit to the College—a meaningful tradition of thanksgiving for all the abundant blessings and the success of the recent Licensure Examination. 💙

It was a simple yet heartfelt celebration of hard work, faith, and perseverance.
