Ngayong Abril, alamin ang ilang impormasyon tungkol sa head and neck cancer. Ang sakit na ito ay may iba't ibang uri depende sa bahagi ng ulo o leeg kung saan ito namumuo.

𝗔𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿?

Ang head and neck cancer ay tumutukoy sa mga kanser na nabubuo sa mga tisyu o organ sa ating ulo at leeg. Ang mga kanser sa ulo at leeg ay kinakategorya batay sa lugar kung saan sila nagsisimula:

Oral Cavity - kabilang dito ang labi, dila, gilagid, loob ng pisngi, at sahig ng bibig
Pharynx - ang tubo na kumokonekta sa ilong at lalamunan
Larynx - ang voice box o bahagi kung saan nabubuo ang ating boses
Paranasal sinuses at nasal cavity - ang mga espasyo sa loob ng ating ilong at mga katabing sinus
Salivary glands - mga glandula na gumagawa ng laway
