Ang mga sintomas na ito ay maaring dahil sa pagtanda ngunit maaring signs of prostate problems din. May dugo sa ihi, madalas na pag-ihi sa gabi, at hirap sa pag-ihi ay mga sintomas na hindi dapat pabayaan.

Ngayong Abril, alamin ang ilang impormasyon tungkol sa head and neck cancer. Ang sakit na ito ay may iba't ibang uri depende sa bahagi ng ulo o leeg kung saan ito namumuo.

𝗔𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿?

Ang head and neck cancer ay tumutukoy sa mga kanser na nabubuo sa mga tisyu o organ sa ating ulo at leeg. Ang mga kanser sa ulo at leeg ay kinakategorya batay sa lugar kung saan sila nagsisimula:

Oral Cavity - kabilang dito ang labi, dila, gilagid, loob ng pisngi, at sahig ng bibig
Pharynx - ang tubo na kumokonekta sa ilong at lalamunan
Larynx - ang voice box o bahagi kung saan nabubuo ang ating boses
Paranasal sinuses at nasal cavity - ang mga espasyo sa loob ng ating ilong at mga katabing sinus
Salivary glands - mga glandula na gumagawa ng laway

DO YOU KNOW ABOUT CANCER & EXERCISE???

People who exercise at least 30 minutes a day have a decreased risk of 13 types of cancer. If people are likely to exercise after a cancer diagnosis, their survival rate increases, as seen in breast cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer.

Patients with cancer live with effects of cancer and its treatment, such as pain, osteoporosis, neuropathy, metabolic syndrome, muscle weakness, physical deconditioning, sleep disturbances, anxiety, depression, and fatigue.

EXERCISE has been shown to improve these symptoms along with chemotherapy outcomes in patients with cancer.

Let's exercise at least 30 minutes a day.

Ang mga pasyenteng may cancer na sumailalim lamang sa ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE (tulad ng ilang uri ng herbal medicine) ay may 2.5x NA MAS MATAAS NA TSANSA NG PAGKAMATAY kumpara sa mga pasyenteng nakatanggap ng conventional cancer treatment (tulad ng operasyon, chemotherapy, radiation at hormonal therapy).

Mag-isip nang mabuti kung ikaw ay nagbabalak sumailalim sa alternative medicine dahil ito ay maaaring makapagpababa sa iyong tsansang mabuhay. Ugaliing isangguni sa iyong doktor bago sumailalim sa kahit anong uri ng gamutan na hindi pa napatunayan ang bisa sa pamamagitan ng mga masusing pag-aaral.

In Quezon City, Philippines, the celebration of World Cancer Day 2025 invites everyone to join the "ACT NOW" campaign, advocating for timely interventions and equitable cancer care. Alam mo bang pwede kang kumuha ng PWD ID kung ikaw ay cancer patient, living with cancer, or cancer survivor?

Cancer patients, people living with cancer, and cancer survivors are deemed persons with disability (PWD) as per RA 11215 and RA No. 7277. Maaring makuha ang mga benepisyo para sa mga PWD tulad ng 20% discount sa mga bilihin. Malaking tulong ang pagkuha ng PWD ID para sa inyong gamutan.

Alam mo ba na ang non-smokers na exposed sa secondhand smoke ay mayroon ding risk na magkaroon ng lung cancer? Ang paglanghap ng usok mula sa iba, kahit sa pampublikong lugar, ay maaaring makasama sa iyong baga sa paglipas ng panahon.

Ang secondhand smoke ay naglalaman ng mahigit 7,000 kemikal, marami sa mga ito ay nakalalason at nagdudulot ng kanser. Kahit brief exposure ay maaaring magpataas ng cancer risk, kaya’t mahalagang umiwas sa mga lugar kung saan may naninigarilyo. Protektahan ang sarili at mga mahal sa buhay sa pamamagitan ng pagtataguyod ng mga smoke-free na lugar at pagpapalaganap ng awareness tungkol sa lung cancer risks.
