LOCALIZED 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST
For Zamboanga Peninsula and Misamis Occidental

SYNOPSIS:
At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression "KABAYAN" was estimated based on all available data 440 km East of Davao City (7.6°N, 129.6°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving Westward Slowly. Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon.

FORECAST:
Misamis Occidental will experience rains with gusty winds. Possible flooding or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. Minimal to minor threat to lives and properties due to strong winds. While Zamboanga Peninsula will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by trough of “TD Kabayan”/Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Other areas of Mindanao, light to moderate winds from Northeast to North with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 2.5 meters).

FORECAST:
Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to north prevails on the eastern section of Mindanao with slight to moderate seas (1.5 to 5.0 meters). Elsewhere, Light to moderate winds from northeast with slight to moderate seas (0.5 to 2.5 meters).
