Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormone disorder in women which is known to affect more than 54% of females in Pakistan alone. September is recognised as PCOS awareness month across the globe.
In connection to it, by the keen interest of the Principal, Dr. Musarrat Khan and the HoD Zoology Dept., Ms. Saleeta Shaukat organized a one day awareness seminar at GGDC Qalandarabad today.
We had the honour of having Dr. Irum Sarwar, a renowned general gynecologist and Professor (Ayub Teaching Hospital, Abbottabad) as the resource person.
She addressed the students and comprehensively explained PCOS the syndrome and possible ways to control it. She focused on lifestyle and dietary counseling for the management of PCOS in teenage and young girls.
The seminar concluded with a fruitful discussion and question-answer session between the resource person and the students which made the program a huge success.
Everyone present at the occasion was not only in awe of Dr. Irum's knowledge, but also greatly impressed by her presenting style.

Organizing first colposcopy workshop in ayub teaching hospital. It is first step in early detection of cervical cancer and management. Cervical cancer is the only gynaecological cancer which can be prevented and detected earlier through screening. Early detection can save precious lives.

A ceremony was held in Ayub Medical College Abbottabad to appreciate the services of those health care workers who worked tirelessly during the covid 19 pandemic in Ayub Medical Teaching Institute Abbottabad. Chairman board of governors dr asim yousaf was the chief guest on this occasion and ceremony was attended by dean , medical director ,hospital director, other members of BOG and faculty of ayub teaching hospital. I am working as official focal person of covid 19 pandemic of the institute and received certificate of appreciation. I dedicate this certificate to all health care workers of ayub teaching hospital who worked in any capacity during this difficult time. Their services will be rewarded by Allah the most just and merciful ,for no human worldly reward can do justice to the work done by health care workers. As the saying goes" when crisis arise ,heroes appear", I salute to all heroes.....
