In contrast, individuals who present with severe cardiovascular disease (CVD), chronic kidney disease (CKD), or stroke are mostly in their sixties and often have poorly controlled hypertension, diabetes, and other modifiable risk factors. This underscores the critical importance of early and effective management of these conditions to reduce the burden of disease and improve quality-adjusted life years.
