The DHQ Hospital Badin (Managed by Indus Hospital & Health Network) has introduced yet another facility for the public. We are pleased to announce that the hospital has started providing Spirometry test services. This is a significant step towards ensuring the well-being of the community, especially those suffering from lung diseases. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by the head of the campus, Dr. Mohammad Akhlaque Khan, in the presence of many doctors and staff, including Dr. Mohammad Usman Soomro, Dr. Abbass Shah, Dr. Shahnawaz, Dr. Shoaib Memon, and Deputy Manager IT Saeed Ahmed.
The Spirometry test is a highly useful diagnostic tool that measures lung function and helps in the diagnosis of respiratory disorders such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and emphysema. During the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Mohammad Akhlaque Khan emphasized the importance of this facility and how it would benefit the people of Badin. DHQ Hospital Badin’s Spirometry test services are expected to significantly promote public health and well-being in the region. DHQ Hospital Badin celebrated World Nurses & Midwives Day with a special ceremony to recognize the incredible contributions of nurses to the healthcare industry. The event, held on May 12th, 2023, was attended by nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals from the hospital.

As part of the celebrations, a poster competition was held, featuring nursing participants who showcased their talent and creativity. After a closely contested competition, Hajiani Sharifa was awarded the first prize, while Mansoor Latif received the second prize. Both winners were presented with gold and silver medals, respectively.

The ceremony also featured a cake-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion, in which all attendees participated. Several speakers took to the podium to pay tribute to the nurses for their services and dedication, emphasizing their critical role in the healthcare industry, especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Meet Razia Mallah, a resident of Naukot, Tharparkar. who recently suffered a accident for the third time in just 2 years. She fell from her bike, resulting in a complicated leg bone break. Razia was taken to the DHQ Hospital Badin, where she received successful treatment for her injury. The DHQ Hospital Badin is funded by the Sindh government and caters to the healthcare needs of people from surrounding districts who are underprivileged and cannot afford private healthcare services.

Happy World Hand Hygiene Day! At DHQ hospital Badin.
On the occasion of the day, our infection control department practitioner explained the 7 steps of hand washing to our patients, staff, and visitors, and even demonstrated the proper technique for everyone to see. Keeping our hands clean is essential to prevent the spread of germs and infections, and we're committed to ensuring that everyone who comes through our doors knows how to wash their hands properly.

Our Acting-Head of Campus Rizwan Ahmed Nizamani also addressed the seminar on infection prevention and control in the seminar hall. He emphasized the crucial role that hand washing plays in preventing the spread of infections and diseases.

Celebrating the spirit of Eid ul Fitr at DHQ Hospital Badin! the children in the peds ward of Indus Hospital received a special surprise on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr!
Acting-Head of campus Rizwan Ahmed Nizamani and the Pediatric In-charge, Dr. Nanga Ram distributed Eid gifts to the children, while other doctors and nursing staff also spread joy and cheer by distributing gifts among the children. We're honored to have been able to bring smiles to these wonderful little warriors during this festive season!

DHQ Hospital Employee (Managed by Indus Hospital & Health Network) returned lost wallet found during duty hours. Got honour by the Head of Campus Dr. Mohammad Akhlaque Khan.

Indus Employee Dileep Kumar returned a lost wallet to his owner which were found it on the floor of the hospital. Dileep kumar was on duty in ward when he found the wallet, which contained a CNIC, an ATM card and Rs.22000 Thousand rupees. Dileep contacted the administration and handed over a wallet.
In recognization of his ethical conduct Head of Campus Dr. Mohammad Akhlaque Khan honoured Mr. Dileep kumar and lauded for his honesty, and given a certificate of appreciation.
Dileep thanked the Head of Campus for their appreciation and gesture.
