Heat stroke is the most serious heat-related illness. It occurs when the body can no longer control its temperature: the body's temperature rises rapidly, the sweating mechanism fails, and the body is unable to cool down. When heat stroke occurs, the body temperature can rise to 106Β°F or higher within 10 to 15 minutes.

Today attended hands-on workshop training organised by OB-GYN department of shahida islam medical college in collaboration with department of pathology. It was a well organised and beautifully demonstrated hands-on training. Keep on learning and sharing. Prevention is better than cure . It's a preventable disease. Thank u team Shahida Islam .

Cervical cancer is a growth of cells that starts in the cervix. The cervix is the lower part of the uterus that connects to the va**na. Various strains of the human papillomavirus, also called HPV, play a role in causing most cervical cancers. HPV is a common infection that's passed through sexual contact.

An extensively eleborative awareness session was conducted by Dr. Safeena Sidiq, Director Woman Health Care Centre and Meternity Home/SMO, IUB regarding "Reproductive Disorders in Females". The seminar was organised by the Department of Physiology, IUB.
Dr. Safeena presented an easy and perceptible presentation about the prevalent Reproductive diseases in Pakistani females. She reiterated that it was dire need of time to break the taboos and create an aura of learning, awareness and critical thinking regarding Reproductive Disorders in Pakistani females. She presented clinical picture of these Disorders and the participants had great learning through this. She acknowledged her team-mates Dr. Samina Ejaz, Additional Director, and Dr. Sheema, Medical Officer for her support and motility for this national cause.
