University College of Conventional Medicine

University College of Conventional Medicine UCCM was established in the year 2000 at Khawaja Farid Campus. It is the first Institution of its kind in the Punjab and second in Pakistan.

The University College of Conventional Medicine was established in the year 2000 at Khawaja Farid Campus. The College has taken a big advance since its inception towards becoming a well-reputed herbal & Homeo training center at National level. The BEMS and BHMS programs are comprised of 5 professional years. The courses of both programs consist of some common subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Bio

-Chemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, Clinical Psychology & Psychiatry, Surgery, ENT & Eye, Pediatrics and Philosophy. Further more, the laboratories of Anatomy Museum, Animal Research and Histopathology have also been established. The College aims to equip students with high values of knowledge and education through meticulous class work, practical work in laboratories and apprenticeship training. Many graduates of this College are working in Government Sector as well as in Private Organizations. Both the Programs (BEMS & BHMS) are recognized by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan & Ministry of Health. National Council for Tibb issues registration to BEMS Graduates and National council for Homeopathy registers BHMS professionals. Both the 5 years programs are equivalent to Masters Degree. The University College of Conventional Medicine has also started MPhil degree program in the subject of Phytomedicine in the year 2005.
