The inaugural *Shura Ijlaas* of PIMA Azad Jammu & Kashmir was held in Islamabad on June 1, 2025. The session was chaired by the newly elected President of PIMA AJK, Dr. Raja Sikandar Iqbal. The meeting was attended by members of the Shura and district representatives from various regions of AJK.

Following consultation with the Shura members, Dr. Raja Sikandar Iqbal announced the appointment of state-level office bearers. Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Imran, Associate Professor of Medicine at MIMC Mirpur, was appointed as the General Secretary of PIMA AJK for the term 2025–2027.

The session also included a planning segment in which tentative programs and objectives for the next six months were outlined. The meeting concluded with prayers, seeking Allah Almighty’s guidance and support for all office bearers and members in fulfilling their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication, and excellence.

PIMA District Kotli AJK organized a gathering for the election of its District President. A large number of doctors assembled at DHQ Hospital Kotli for this purpose. Following the voting process, Dr. Amique urRahman was elected as the District President for the 2025–2027 term. On this occasion, special prayers were offered for the departed soul of Dr. Sajid Manzoor, and participants paid heartfelt tribute to his remarkable services as a dedicated and respected medical professional.

PIMA District Bhimber AJK organized a dedicated session to conduct the election for the District President for the 2025–2027 term.
The session witnessed a significant turnout of PIMA members. Notably, the President of PIMA AJK, *Dr. Raja Sikandar Iqbal*, along with former presidents *Dr. Abdur Rahman* and *Dr. Aftab Ahmed Mir*, graced the session with their presence.
Following voting among members, *Dr. Mazhar Iqbal* was elected as the new *District President* for the term 2025–2027.

A special meeting of PIMA Mirpur members was held on *Thursday, May 15* at *Umar Lab*. The session began with a *Qur'an lesson* delivered by *Professor Basharat Elahi*.

After the lesson, the newly elected *President of PIMA District Mirpur, Dr. Jahangir Anjum*, completed the district organizational structure in consultation with the members.

Following mutual consultation, the following office bearers were nominated:

2. *Dr. Saqib Ismail* – General Secretary
3. *Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed Butt* – Finance Secretary

*Dr. Abdur Rehman, Director PIMA Relief Pakistan* delivered insightful lecture on hypertension prevention. The session was attended by the Principal, teachers, staff, and students of Read Foundation College, Bhimber .

Despite the scarce resources, doctors and medical personnel serving in war hit areas near the LoC deserve high recognition for their dedication.
The government must urgently restore health centers damaged by shelling in these regions and take steps to establish fully equipped "trauma centers" to ensure comprehensive medical care.

PIMA Mirpur hosted a dinner at a local hotel in honor of the members of PIMA Mirpur following the successful biennial convention. The program commenced with a Quranic lecture by Professor Basharat Ilahi. Following this, the election for the next session’s PIMA Mirpur President took place, where members overwhelmingly voted for Dr. Jahangir Anjum, Associate Professor of Medicine, to lead for the next two years.

In recognition of their services, the outgoing president, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Imran, and the newly elected president, Dr. Jahangir Anjum, were presented with special gifts. Additionally, associate members who contributed to the event’s success were awarded shields. The program concluded with a grand dinner and a prayer for the steadfastness of the newly elected president.
