کینسر جیسا مرض وبا کی طرح کیوں پھیل رہا ہے؟ سائنسدانوں نے وجہ جان لی
نوجوانی میں موٹاپے کے شکار ہونے والے افراد میں کینسر کی 18 اقسام کا خطرہ نمایاں حد تک بڑھ جاتا ہے۔
یہ بات ایک نئی طبی تحقیق میں سامنے آئی۔

جرنل نیچر کمیونیکیشنز میں شائع تحقیق میں اسپین کے 40 سال یا اس سے کم عمر کے 26 لاکھ سے زائد ایسے افراد کے ڈیٹا کی جانچ پڑتال کی گئی جو 2009 میں کینسر سے محفوظ تھے
محققین نے ان افراد کے جسمانی وزن کا جائزہ 9 سال تک لیا۔
اس عرصے میں 2 لاکھ 25 ہزار سے زائد افراد میں کینسر کی تشخیص ہوئی۔

تحقیق میں دریافت کیا گیا کہ جوانی میں موٹاپے سے چھاتی، آنتوں، گردوں، مثانے، سر، گلے اور پھیپھڑوں سمیت 18 اقسام کے کینسر کا خطرہ بڑھ جاتا ہے۔

تحقیق کے مطابق 40 سال یا اس سے پہلے زیادہ جسمانی وزن کے مالک افراد میں کینسر کا خطرہ نمایاں حد تک بڑھ جاتا ہے اور اسی وجہ سے دنیا میں یہ مرض بہت تیزی سے پھیل رہا ہے۔

درحقیقت موٹاپے کا عرصہ جتنا زیادہ ہوگا، کینسر سے متاثر ہونے کا خطرہ اتنا زیادہ بڑھ جائے گا۔

محققین نے بتایا کہ ماضی کی تحقیقی رپورٹس میں بتایا گیا تھا کہ اضافی جسمانی وزن اور موٹاپے سے چھاتی، آنتوں، گردوں اور لبلبے کے کینسر کا خطرہ بڑھتا ہے، مگر ہمارے نتائج سے ثابت ہوا کہ اس کے باعث پھیپھڑوں، مثانے، خون اور دیگر اقسام کے کینسر کا سامنا بھی ہو سکتا ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ کینسر کی ان اقسام کو پہلے موٹاپے سے منسلک نہیں کیا جاتا تھا اور کینسر کے حوالے سے موٹاپے کے اثرات کو زیادہ تر نظرانداز کر دیا جاتا ہے۔

اس سے قبل جون 2023 میں جرنل سیل میں شائع تحقیق میں بتایا گیا تھا کہ موٹاپے کے شکار افراد میں کینسر کا امکان زیادہ ہوتا ہے اور جسمانی وزن میں اضافے سے خواتین میں اس جان لیوا مرض کا خطرہ بہت زیادہ بڑھ جاتا ہے۔

تحقیق میں بتایا گیا کہ جسم کے مختلف حصوں میں چربی کے جمع ہونے کا عمل کینسر کے خطرے میں کردار ادا کرتا ہے، مگر خطرے کی شرح مردوں یا خواتین میں مختلف ہو سکتی ہے۔

محققین نے بتایا کہ پیٹ اور کمر کے اردگرد چربی کی مقدار بڑھنے سے کینسر کی مختلف اقسام سے متاثر ہونے کا خطرہ بڑھتا ہے۔

اس تحقیق کے نتائج جرنل سیل میں شائع ہوئے۔

اسی طرح مئی 2023 میں جرنل آف دی نیشنل کینسر انسٹیٹیوٹ میں شائع ایک تحقیق کے مطابق موٹاپا چاہے میٹابولک صحت کو نقصان پہنچائے یا نہ پہنچائے، مگر جسمانی وزن بڑھنے سے کینسر کی متعدد اقسام کا خطرہ ضرور بڑھ جاتا ہے۔

اس تحقیق میں دریافت کیا گیا کہ جسم میں چربی کی مقدار بڑھنے سے کینسر کی مختلف اقسام کا خطرہ بڑھ جاتا ہے۔

اس تحقیق کے لیے لگ بھگ 8 لاکھ افراد کے جسمانی وزن اور میٹابولک صحت کا جائزہ لیا گیا۔

نتائج سے دریافت ہوا کہ موٹاپے کی نقصان دہ اقسام سے لبلبے، جگر، پِتے، گردے اور معدے سے جڑے اعضا کے کینسر کا خطرہ بڑھتا ہے۔
