*Dengue Awareness Walk*

Following the *Punjab Welfare Trust for the Disabled (PWTD)* policy on dengue prevention and control, we organized a *Dengue Awareness Walk* at *SKJ Special Education Centre* on 02 April 2026.

The walk was conducted by the medical and special education staff, with active participation from students and community members. The purpose of this activity was to raise public awareness about dengue prevention, promote healthy practices, and encourage community involvement in controlling the spread of dengue.

During the walk, participants carried awareness placards and shared key messages highlighting:
* Elimination of standing water to prevent mosquito breeding
* Importance of maintaining clean surroundings
* Use of protective measures such as mosquito repellents and appropriate clothing
* Early identification of dengue symptoms and seeking timely medical care

The awareness walk covered the surrounding areas of the institution to effectively engage the local community and spread preventive messages. The activity emphasised the importance of collective responsibility and behavioural change in dengue control.

This initiative shows SKJ Special Education Centre's commitment to implementing PWTD policy guidelines and supporting government efforts to prevent dengue and promote community health.

Tuberculosis (TB) is a curable disease, but delay in diagnosis can make it serious.
If you have a cough for more than 2 weeks, fever, weight loss, or night sweats, consult a doctor immediately.
Free diagnosis and treatment are available — early treatment protects both the patient and the community.
Let’s spread awareness and work together to end TB.

*Pakistan Resolution Day – 23rd March*

Pakistan Resolution Day, observed on *23rd March*, marks the historic *Lahore Resolution of 1940*, when the All India Muslim League passed a landmark decision for an independent Muslim state. This resolution laid the foundation for the creation of *Pakistan on 14th August 1947*.
Pakistan Resolution Day holds immense historical and national importance as it marks the formal demand for a separate homeland for Muslims of the subcontinent. It symbolizes the unity, determination, and vision of our forefathers who aspired for a nation where Muslims could live with freedom, dignity, and religious independence. The day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made for Pakistan’s creation and reinforces the commitment to uphold the values of justice, equality, and progress. It inspires the nation to work towards a stronger, prosperous, and united Pakistan.
