❌STOP BELIEVING THIS: “You ruined your diet with 1 paratha”
✅Diet culture taught us 100% or fail.
✅Nutrition science says 80% consistency > 100% perfection.
As a dietitian, I’d rather you follow 80/20 for 2 years than a 30-day detox for 2 weeks.
Your body doesn’t care if you had gajar ka halwa last night. It cares what you do most of the time.
Let’s do math, dietitian style:
21 meals per week
80% of 21 = 17 meals
20% of 21 = 4 meals
So you can have 4 “untracked” meals/week and
STILL be killing it.
That’s 1 biryani + 1 pizza + 2 chai+biscuit moments.
And your progress? Still intact.
The 80/20 rule works because desi life isn’t lived in Tupperware. Dawats happen. Cravings happen.
Stress happens.
Your diet should fit your life, not the other way around.
