🧠 Brain Regions & Structures:
🔴 Frontal Lobe
Front part of the brain.
Controls thinking, planning, emotions, behavior, and voluntary movement.
🔵 Parietal Lobe
Processes sensory information like touch, temperature, and pain.
🟣 Occipital Lobe
Back of the brain.
Responsible for vision and visual interpretation.
🧠 Corpus Callosum
Thick nerve bundle connecting the left and right hemispheres of the brain.
Helps in communication between both sides.
💧 Lateral Ventricle (Body)
Fluid-filled space in the brain (cerebrospinal fluid or CSF flows here).
Helps cushion the brain.
🟤 Thalamus
Acts as a relay station.
Sends sensory and motor signals to the cerebral cortex.
⚪ Midbrain
Part of the brainstem.
Controls vision, hearing, and motor control.
⚪ Pons
Middle portion of the brainstem.
Helps relay signals from the forebrain to the cerebellum.
⚪ Medulla
Lower brainstem.
Controls vital functions like breathing and heart rate.
🧠 Cerebellum
Located under the occipital lobe.
Controls coordination, posture, and balance.
💧 4th Ventricle (4th Vent)
CSF-filled space between the brainstem and cerebellum.
🧬 Sinuses & Cavities:
🌬️ Frontal Sinus
Air-filled space above the eyes (within the frontal bone).
Helps lighten the skull and improve voice resonance.
🌬️ Sphenoid Sinus
Located deep behind the nasal cavity, near the center of the skull.
🟡 Superior Sagittal Sinus
Venous sinus (a blood channel) running along the top of the brain.
Drains blood from the brain into the venous system.
🟠 Straight Sinus
Connects deep brain venous drainage to the superior sagittal sinus.
👃 Nasal and Oral Structures:
👃 Nasal Septum
Wall that divides the left and right sides of the nose.
🟫 Nasopharynx
Upper part of the throat behind the nose.
⚪ Hard Palate
Roof of the mouth that separates the mouth from the nasal cavity.
👅 Tongue
Helps in speaking, eating, and swallowing.
🦴 Other Structures:
⚪ Sella (Sella Turcica)
A saddle-shaped depression in the sphenoid bone.
Houses the pituitary gland (not labeled but located there).
🦴 C2 (Axis)
Second cervical vertebra in the neck.
Important for head rotation.
🧬 Spinal Cord
Extension of the brainstem.
Transmits neural signals between the brain and the rest of the body.
