ONE was founded in 2008 as a welfare society by A young entrepreneur and group of some responsible peoples realizing the socio economic deficiencies of the society. who were committed to improving the living standards and the level of decision making of their fellow humans to enable those to solve their problems by their own and be capable to stand in the society. Equality of opportunity is a stipulation that all people should be treated similarly, unhampered by artificial barriers or prejudices or preferences, except when particular “distinctions can be explicitly justified”. It emerges from the idea that all citizens that live in a nation, irrespective of their abilities and talents, birth and upbrining, possess inherently equal rights and should therefore be treated equally before the law. However, it has to be recognized that people are born into different situations and with different skills and talents, and hence equality of opportunity does not translate to equality of outcomes. ONE believes that equality of opportunity, not equality of outcomes, is what a nation and society needs. Affirmative action in select cases is definitely understandable though it may, in the short term, seem to go against the concept of equality of opportunity. ONE aims to build confidence, raise self-esteem and empower the community we work with to participate fully in their own affair and decision making to facilitate community based projects. This is aimed to exploit the natural and human resources available in the region whist sustaining and improving the environment for the benefit of the habitants and their other needs. The organization aims to bring together the local community with their expertise and experience and the development agencies with their resource to confront ignorance, diseases, poor livestock husbandry, environmental degradation and the resultant poverty and backwardness. ONE forms the basis for networking with other civil society organization both at the Local and international level to create a resource centre and a forum for discussion; exchange ideas on problems affecting the community. While also Integrate the existing projects for improvement on proper healthcare and the living standards towards self-employment opportunities and initiate food self-sufficiency strategies and funding. Has
ONE focuses on empowering youth of the society as considering a bright future for the country if preserved/prevented from the planted and created problems for them including Skill development programs, Leadership – Entrepreneurship , Awareness programs for youth, career counselling, social responsibilities awareness, Mobilizing youth potentially for the development of the nation which in it self their growth too.
