Positive and Negative Anxiety
Most people experience one of two states before an exam, test, or interview - In the first state, their brain is so focused on their task that they forget about other things - this is called positive anxiety, which benefits the person -
In the second state, people are under pressure due to anxiety and their thoughts completely stop, all their words are scattered in their brains and they feel like they don't remember anything - this is called negative anxiety, in which a person loses their patience before the exam -
In fact, medically, in positive anxiety, two hormones, adrenaline and norepinephrine, are released quickly, due to which the person's focus on their task increases - then the stress hormone is released, but it is very short-lived, so it does not contain these other two hormones and the brain does not lose its ability to make decisions. -
This process also occurs in negative anxiety, but the stress hormone cortisol remains for a long time and it contains these first two hormones - The fear center (amygdala) hijacks the thought or intellect center (prefrontal cortex)
And causes the person's entire focus to be disrupted -
With this, the heart rate increases, the memory is scattered, negative thoughts occupy the person's mind and expose themselves to failure before the exam -
If a person knows that he is facing negative anxiety - then he should forget the old words - take a deep breath - change the negative thought and give himself the courage to succeed - keep successful people in mind and restore self-confidence -
When you block the path to negative thoughts - the stress hormone cortisol's grip weakens, the decision center takes back the power from the fear center, then our focus returns and Increase your patience - this is a chain whose head is the stress hormone. If you control it, you will be successful in every field.
