πŸ‘‰πŸ» Day 1 was the inauguration and workshop day, where participants from across the country attended different workshops led by the leading neurosurgeons across the country and the world, followed by an inaugural dinner hosted by the faculty of dept. of neurosurgery at LUMHS, Jamshoro.

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Day 2 and 3 were conference days where participants from across the country presented different papers, in addition to keynote speeches, state of the lectures, and panel discussions by the esteemed fellows. The general body meeting of PSN was also held on Day 2. The conference ended on Day 3 with a concluding ceremony followed by a farewell lunch for the members. Additionally, participants had a fun night out at the Gala Dinner, where leading names from the country came to entertain the participants. 😍

We are pleased to announce the participation of Prof. Sarah Olson in the 36th International Conference of Pakistan Society of Neurosurgeons. Prof Sarah Olson is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons trained in Brisbane, Auckland and Victoria. She has an active interest in research, having completed a Masters of Philosophy in 2006.

Assoc Prof Olson operates from Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Princess Alexandra Hospital. Her special interests include neurooncology and pituitary tumors, endoscopic surgery, trigeminal neuralgia and functional neurosurgery.

Dr Bruce Hall is a highly respected Queensland neurosurgeon with broad interests and experience in all aspects of neurosurgery. Dr Hall trained in Brisbane then completed subspecialty Fellowships in Cambridge and Liverpool in the UK. Enthusiastic about new technologies, Dr Hall is a world authority on stereotaxic brain surgery and artificial disc replacement spine surgery. Managing Director and founder of QNS, his expertise is widely valued. Dr Hall is Chairman of Neurosurgery at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Director of Neurosurgery at Greenslopes Private Hospital, and Co-Director of the Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Unit at PAH. He serves on the Board of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and is Chairman of Professional Standards. Dr Hall has performed more than 6,000 neurosurgical procedures and is known for his carefully considered, compassionate and minimally interventional approach to neurosurgical care.

We are pleased to announce the participation of Dr. Georgios Matis in the 36th International Conference of Pakistan Society of Neurosurgeons.

Dr. Georgios Matis is a senior consultant for neurosurgery. He leads the chronic pain/spasticity sector of the Department of Stereotactic & Functional Neurosurgery in the University Hospital of Cologne. He has been trained in Greece (General University Hospital of Alexandroupolis, G. Papanikolaou General Hospital of Thessaloniki & 417 Army Equity Fund Hospital of Athens), USA (Department of Neurosurgery, Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, NY), Switzerland (Department of Neuroradiology, University Hospital of Zurich, Zurich) and Germany (Department of Stereotactic & Functional Neurosurgery, University Hospital Cologne, Cologne). Dr. Matis is a member of two medical associations (Thessaloniki, Greece & North Rhine, Germany) and also a member of the German Neuromodulation Society (DGNM) and the International Neuromodulation Society (INS). He serves as a reviewer for many international journals and is an Editorial Board member for Neuromodulation: Technology at the Neural Interface and Interventional Pain Medicine and Neuromodulation. He holds the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Internet Journal of Neurosurgery. Dr. Matis has published many articles in Greek and international Pubmed-indexed journals and holds many lectures as an invited speaker at numerous international congresses and webinars. At the same time, he is a Public Education Committee member of the International Neuromodulation Society. Dr. Matis is involved in many international clinical studies and has been active as an instructor for many colleagues in Germany and abroad. He is also an active member of the medical advisory board of the German CRPS Support Group and a member of several online consultation platforms. He is actively involved in social media trying to raise awareness about spinal cord stimulation and neuromodulation.

We are honored to announce that Dr.Mehmet Zileli will be joining us for the 36th International Conference of Pakistan Society of Neurosurgeons.

Dr.Mehmet Zileli, a renowned Professor of Neurosurgery, has worked as a Chief of the Neurosurgery Department in Ege University, Izmir, Turkey, as a Research Fellow in Erlangen, Germany with Johannes Schramm and served as the first President of the Spine Section of Turkish Neurosurgical Society (1995-1999), President of the Turkish Neurosurgical Society (2006-2008), President of the World Spinal Column Society (2011-2014), President of the Middle East Spine Society (2011-present), President of the Asia Pacific Cervical Spine Society (2014-present).

A member of 14 national and 20 international associations, Prof. Dr. Zileli is a member and referee of the Advisory Board of 35 scientific and medical journals, of which one is the editor. He has 146 scientific articles published in international journals, 78 scientific articles published in national journals, 11 books, one of which is international, 35 international book chapters and 82 domestic book chapters. He has presented more than 1500 papers and conferences at international and national meetings. The H index (Google Scholar) is 29, and the number of citations is 2854.

Dr.Mehmet Zileli has important contributions to education and training in spine surgery in Turkey, by organizing multiple courses on spine surgery, cadaveric courses and also been the host of the Travelling Fellowship of the Spine Society of Europe. He is also the founder of the first spine fellowship program in Turkey that served many national and international fellows.
