🔴 Main Topic:
Abnormally thickened endometrium
(If not related to pregnancy — negative pregnancy test)
🟡 1. Endometrial Hyperplasia
Ultrasound Features: Regular thickening of the endometrium.
Patient Demographics: Can occur at any age.
Key Point: Generalized and uniform thickening.
🔴 2. Endometrial Polyp
Ultrasound Features: Focal lesion with a single vascular pedicle (seen clearly on Doppler).
Key Point: More localized than hyperplasia; vascular stalk helps differentiate.
🔵 3. Endometrial Cancer
Ultrasound Features: Irregular thickening of the endometrium.
Patient Demographics: Usually in postmenopausal women.
Key Point: Suspicious for malignancy if irregular in postmenopausal patients.
⚪ 4. Tamoxifen-Related Changes
Ultrasound Features: Variable appearance, often cystic or irregular.
History: History of tamoxifen treatment (TTT) (commonly for breast cancer).
Key Point: Patients on tamoxifen should be closely monitored for endometrial changes.
