🌟 Founder Mahir-e-Nafsiyat, Adil Ali delivered a guest lecture on "Risk Management in Forensic Inpatient Units and Correctional Facilities" for participants of the Forensic Mental Health Certificate Course in Pakistan.

He had the opportunity to share his first-hand experience managing patients with acute mental health challenges while minimizing the risks of violence and self-harm. 🧠✨

📚 The session featured real-world case studies from Pakistan's correctional facilities and drug rehabilitation centers, highlighting critical learning moments from adverse events. He also explored the evidence-based Safewards Model, a transformative approach designed for inpatient mental health wards and adopted globally 🌍—in countries like Canada, Australia, and the UK.

💡 Grateful for the engaging discussions and meaningful exchange of ideas with participants.

Eid Mubarak everyone! It's important to recognize that this festive occasion can bring various emotions for different individuals. While many people feel happiness and excitement, others may experience stress, loneliness, or even sadness for various reasons, such as being away from family or facing financial difficulties.

Here are some tips to support mental health during Eid ul Fitr:

🌟Acknowledge Your Feelings: It's okay to experience a range of emotions during Eid. Acknowledge and accept your feelings without judgment.

📞Connect with Loved Ones: Reach out to family and friends, whether through in-person gatherings, phone calls, or video chats. Sharing the joy of Eid with loved ones can uplift spirits and strengthen bonds.

🧘‍♂️Practice Self-Care: Take time for self-care activities that promote relaxation and well-being, such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, or going for a walk outdoors.

🎯Set Realistic Expectations: Avoid putting undue pressure on yourself to meet unrealistic expectations during Eid celebrations. Focus on what brings you genuine joy and fulfillment.

🕌 Engage in Spiritual Practices: Participate in Eid prayers and reflect on the spiritual significance of the occasion. Connecting with your faith can provide comfort and perspective.

🤝Volunteer or Give Back: Consider volunteering your time or donating to charitable causes in your community. Helping others can foster a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

📵 Limit Social Media Use: While social media can be a source of connection, it can also exacerbate feelings of inadequacy or comparison. Take breaks from social media if it's negatively impacting your mental well-being.

🤗 Seek Support if Needed: If you're struggling with your mental health, don't hesitate to reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or mental health professional for support. You're not alone, and there are resources available to help you.

By prioritizing self-care, connecting with others, and seeking support when needed, you can navigate Eid ul Fitr while promoting your mental health and well-being. 🌙🕌
