📢 Big News in Autism Treatment Research!

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has officially taken steps to make Leucovorin Calcium (Wellcovorin) available for patients with Cerebral Folate Deficiency (CFD) — a neurological condition that often shows autistic features such as:
🔹 Social communication challenges
🔹 Sensory processing issues
🔹 Repetitive behaviors
🔹 Developmental delays

👉 Research between 2009–2024 shows that leucovorin may help children with CFD, who often overlap with autism symptoms, by improving folate transport to the brain — an essential nutrient for brain health.

⚕️ According to the FDA:

> “Children are suffering and deserve access to potential treatments that have shown promise. We are using gold standard science and common sense to deliver for the American people.”
