We were honored to host renowned speakers, experts, and delegates from across Pakistan who came together to share knowledge, present abstracts, and engage in enlightening discussions in the field of Nephrology.

Pre-Conference Workshop – NephroCon 2025

A highly informative pre-conference workshop on Renal Histopathology was successfully conducted at PIMS Islamabad on May 14, 2025, as part of NephroCon 2025. The workshop was graced by Prof. Dr. M. Mubarak from SIUT Karachi as the guest speaker and master trainer. Dr Summiya and Dr Manal from Histopathology Department PIMS shared their experience. Session was concluded by Prof Dr Sajid Abbasi by presenting shields to speakers.

The session was attended by over 100 participants, both on-site and virtually, reflecting the immense interest and relevance of renal histopathology in current nephrology practice.

We are grateful to Prof. Dr. M. Mubarak for his engaging and enlightening session, and to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement.

1st Renal Transplant update 2024 held in PIMS Islamabad by Pakistan Society of Nephrology.

Islamabad, November 21, 2024 – The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Islamabad organised The 1st Renal Transplant Update 2024 in collaboration with Pakistan Society of Nephrology (PSN). The event saw about 100 doctors attending in person or virtually.

The event featured lectures by Prof Dr Lionel Rostaing from France, Dr Naveed Sarwar Khan, Prof Dr Sajid Abbasi, Dr Khawar Sultan.

Distinguished guests included Prof. Dr. Sammeh J. Khan Chief Patron PSN, President of PSN Dr. Zahid Nabi, Brig. Dr. Umair Siddiquie, Dr Adeel Ebad, Dr Khawar Sultan, Dr Armughan, Prof Dr Syed Sohail Tanvir, Dr Batool Butt. Program was moderated by Dr. Faryal and Dr Zunera.

Prof Dr Sajid Abbasi Head of Department of Nephrology PIMS as host of the event paid gratitude to quests especially chief guest Prof Dr Lionel Rostaing and determined to start ABO incompatible renal transplants soon.
