Our Vice Chancellor, Maj. Gen. (R) Prof. Muhammad Aslam, HI (M), attended a certificate distribution ceremony at the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, for the participants of the 7th Batch of Certificate in Medical Editing (CME) and the 3rd Batch of Certificate in Medical Journalism Education (CMJE).

The ceremony recognized the successful completion of training by participants, contributing to the growing pool of certified medical editors and journalism professionals in Pakistan. To date, UHS has produced 245 certified editors through these programs, reflecting its commitment to strengthening research publishing and editorial standards.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Muhammad Aslam emphasized that the true purpose of research extends beyond publication and should ultimately contribute to solving human problems and improving healthcare delivery. The event was attended by senior academics, editors, and university leadership committed to promoting excellence in medical research and publishing.

On World Hemophilia Day 2026, Islamabad Medical Technology College (IMTC) joins in raising awareness under this year’s theme: “Diagnosis: First Step to Care.”

This theme carries an important message: timely diagnosis is the foundation of proper care. Hemophilia is a genetic bleeding disorder in which blood does not clot normally, and even a minor cut or injury may take much longer to stop bleeding.

On this occasion, IMTC emphasizes the importance of awareness, early identification, and informed medical support to help individuals with hemophilia live safer and better-managed lives. Greater understanding is the first step toward timely care and improved outcomes.
