Dr. Zulfiqar Tunio, a renowned cosmetic plastic surgeon, hair restorative, and body contouring surgeon with 24 years of experience, shares his insights about the ISHRS Regional Workshop held in Islamabad, Pakistan, in February 2024. Dr. Humayun Mohmand shared his profound insights about the ISHRS Regional Workshop-2024 in Islamabad, Pakistan. According to him, this hands-on workshop represents a pivotal moment for young Pakistani doctors who have been unable to travel abroad and learn from the world's top hair restoration surgeons in live operations. Bringing these experts to Pakistan, or at least most of them, and providing firsthand knowledge and interaction between them and local doctors will greatly contribute to the growth of our medical community. Dr. Mohmand emphasized that the workshop's significance lies not only in enhancing surgical skills (which he estimates at 30%) but also in nurturing planning skills (accounting for 70%), crucial for becoming a successful surgeon. He paid tribute to Dr. Rana for single-handedly planning and organizing this remarkable event. Dr. Mohmand expressed amazement at the additional workshop arranged for surgical assistants, aiming to raise their standards. He noted the widespread enjoyment and learning taking place at the workshop, underscored by Pakistan's exceptional hospitality. Looking ahead, he expressed hope that Pakistan could host ISHRS for future conferences, providing further opportunities for young doctors to learn and excel.
