The Health Services Academy (HSA) and the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in the fields of education, research, and policy analysis.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan, Vice Chancellor of HSA, and Ambssadore Khalid Mahmood, Chairman, BoG, ISSI , marking a significant step toward fostering institutional cooperation between the two prestigious organizations.
This important initiative was facilitated through the dedicated efforts of Riaz Hussain Bhutto, Director-Linkages and Outreach, HSA, and Dr. Neelum Nigar, Director ISSI. Their proactive engagement and leadership played a pivotal role in bringing the two academic and research institutions together to formalize this collaboration and agree on a shared vision for future cooperation.
The partnership aims to promote international cooperation and enhance institutional engagement through joint initiatives in research, training, and academic exchange. Both institutions have agreed to collaborate on a range of activities, including the exchange of delegations, joint scientific and evidence-based research, organization of conferences and seminars, and sharing of publications and academic resources.
The MoU further emphasizes knowledge exchange and capacity building through professional training, field studies, and collaborative platforms for dialogue on issues of mutual interest. Both parties will also develop detailed plans for implementing joint activities and designate focal persons to ensure effective coordination and ex*****on of the agreed initiatives.
The leadership of both institutions highlighted the significance of this collaboration in advancing evidence-based policymaking and strengthening linkages between academia and strategic research organizations in Pakistan.
