USE OF COTTON BUDS TO CLEAN EARS.
It is very dangerous to self clean ears.Most people use cotton bud to clean the ear wax.Firstly cotton bud is not designed for this purpose,its use is to clean newly born babies noses.
Secondly,ear wax has anti infective and protective properties.It protects our ears from infection and trauma. So routine ear cleaning must not be done.There are only certain scenarios in which it has to be removed ,like if it starts blocking your ears,or if it hurts.Only then it should be removed and by a specialist as ears are very sensitive and ear drum is very exposed.Old fashioned ear cleaning by syringing is obsolete now as it can cause permanent dizziness and hearing loss.Ear microscope must be used to clean ears if necessary as it is the safest way.
