Pregnancy Urine Color Chart ... What Your P*e Says About Your Health
During pregnancy, your body sends all kinds of signals — and one of the most overlooked yet important signs comes from your urine color. From hydration levels to possible infections, your p*e is a real-time snapshot of how your body is doing.
Here’s what the colors could mean:
💧 CLEAR:
You’re likely over-hydrated — not harmful, but your body may be flushing out nutrients too fast.
🌼 PALE YELLOW:
The sweet spot! You’re perfectly hydrated — keep it up!
🌕 YELLOW:
You may be slightly behind on fluids. It’s a sign of mild dehydration — grab that water bottle.
⚠️ DARK YELLOW:
A more serious signal of dehydration — increase your fluid intake immediately.
🧡 LIGHT ORANGE:
This may mean severe dehydration or a urinary tract infection (UTI). Time to hydrate and possibly check in with your doctor.
🟤 DARK ORANGE/BROWN:
This could indicate liver or kidney problems — don’t ignore this. Seek medical advice.
🖤 BROWN/BLACK:
Possible sign of liver or kidney disease, Alkaptonuria, or Rhabdomyolysis. Urgent medical attention needed.
🌸 PINK/RED:
Blood in the urine, possibly from foods, medications, or UTIs. If unexplained, consult your provider.
🌫️ CLOUDY/OPAQUE:
Could indicate UTI, STI, or other medical conditions involving body fluids mixing with urine.
Monitoring urine color during pregnancy isn’t weird — it’s wise. Don’t panic at every shade change, but be aware, stay hydrated, and listen to your body.
