Let’s be real — our food is top tier 🍛🔥, but if we’re having it every day, a few health-focused tweaks wouldn’t hurt. Here’s what I recommend as a nutritionist 🥼👇
1️⃣ Use less oil:
Have you ever noticed your daily meals swimming in ghee or oil? 🛢️ Sure, fat adds flavor, but it also adds loads of calories we didn’t sign up for. Let's cut it back a little. Your heart (and waistline) will thank you! ❤️
2️⃣ Don’t overload on carbs:
Roti and rice are iconic staples 🍚🫓— no doubt. But portion control is everything. Carbs are your friends, but too many can tip the scale (literally). Balance is 🔑.
3️⃣ Up your protein game:
There are so many desi myths about protein — from "it's too hot for your body" 🌶️ to “it causes hormonal issues” 🙄. Reality check: you need more protein than you think! Eggs, chicken, mutton, dairy — they’re your muscle’s best friends 💪🥚🥛
4️⃣ Cut back on added sugars:
From your chai ☕ to sweetened snacks 🧁, added sugar is hiding everywhere. Try sugar-free swaps like sucralose, stevia, or even diet sodas (in moderation!) to slowly break the habit. Your future self will thank you 💯
