Post-burn contracture of the second toe (2nd digit of the foot) with flexion deformity, causing functional limitation and abnormal pressure during walking.

Surgical management included:
🔹 Complete release of plantar contracture bands
🔹 K-wire fixation across the MTP and PIP joints to maintain proper alignment
🔹 Plantar skin graft harvested from the non-weight-bearing plantar surface to provide thick, durable, glabrous skin suitable for toe reconstruction

Plantar grafts are ideal for digital defects because they offer:
✔️ Resistance to shear and pressure
✔️ Better texture and durability
✔️ Reduced risk of recurrent contracture

This procedure restores toe length, alignment, and functional gait, highlighting the role of reconstructive plastic surgery in converting disability into mobility.

Post-Leishmaniasis Scar | Left Cheek Reconstruction

Cutaneous leishmaniasis often heals with depressed, adherent scars that can affect both appearance and confidence.
In this case, a post-leishmaniasis scar on the left cheek was treated with:

🔹 Subcision – to release fibrotic tethering
🔹 Autologous fat grafting – to restore lost volume and improve contour
