The movement disorder society of Saudi Arabia (MDSS) is a professional society of clinicians, scientists, and other healthcare professionals interested in neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders, hyperkinetic Movement Disorders, and abnormalities in muscle tone and motor control. The spectrum of clinical disorders represented
by the Society includes but is not limited to:
* Parkinson's disease and parkinsonism
* Dystonia
* Chorea, Huntington's disease
* Ataxia
* Tremor and essential tremor
* Myoclonus and startle
* Tics and Tourette syndrome
* Restless legs syndrome
* Stiff person syndrome
* Gait disorders
The objective and mission of the Society shall be to advance the neurological sciences of Movement Disorders; to operate exclusively for scientific, scholarly, and educational purposes; to encourage research; for sharing ideas and for advancing the related clinical and scientific disciplines; and to collaborate with other related professional and lay organizations
