💥 About the Webinar:

Rejection hurts — but it doesn’t have to hold you back.

This powerful and healing session is designed to help you build emotional strength, reframe failure, and develop psychological tools to handle setbacks in your academic, personal, and professional life. Whether it’s a university rejection, job loss, or a friendship breakdown — neuropsychologist Mahil Tufail (Founder, Project Yaqeen) will guide you through real strategies to turn rejection into redirection.

This isn’t just self-help talk. You’ll explore the science behind why failure hits so hard, how to emotionally regulate in difficult moments, and how to rebuild your self-worth. It’s time to stop fearing rejection — and start growing from it.

🧩 Aims of the webinar:

✅ Normalize rejection and failure as part of growth
✅Address how rejection feels different to each individual
✅Help youth identify their personal response patterns
✅Teach coping skills like emotional regulation & self-talk
✅Build resilience and healthy self-worth
✅Shift mindset: failure = feedback, not defeat
✅Reduce stigma around talking about rejection
✅Provide tools to handle academic, social, and career setbacks

- Students and fresh graduates facing academic or career rejection
- Anyone struggling with self-doubt, comparison, or failure
- Youth wanting to build mental resilience and emotional intelligence
- Psychology lovers and aspiring mental health professionals

Introducing our Founder and CEO:
Hi, I am Mahil. I’m a therapist with a background in clinical psychology & neuroscience & and someone who truly believes that therapy should feel like a safe, supportive partnership.
🌈 Over the past five years, I’ve worked with over 500 clients facing a wide range of challenges: from trauma and PTSD to anxiety, phobias, grief, and relationship struggles. I also support individuals living with more complex mental health diagnoses such as OCD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
⚓️But what I’m especially passionate about is working with those who live with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and autoimmune disorder; because I live with some of those conditions myself. I know how hard it can be to explain what you’re feeling when your body and mind are both overwhelmed, and how often those experiences are misunderstood or minimized. You’re not imagining it. And you’re not alone.
🏡In our work together, I’ll bring both compassion and science. My training in the neurological and biological side of mental health helps me connect the dots, between what’s happening in your body, your emotions, and your past experiences. Whether you’re struggling with fear, grief, health anxiety, or feeling disconnected in your relationships, I aim to help you feel seen, understood, and empowered.
🌺 Therapy with me isn’t about judgment or quick fixes. It’s about slowing down, tuning into your nervous system, and learning how to feel safe in your body again—at your pace, in your own way with consistency and discipline.
👩‍⚕️If you’re looking for a therapist who gets both the emotional and physical sides of pain, and who will meet you with empathy, curiosity, and respect, we will make a great team.
🏆 I also like helping students or prospective psychologists get to know if psychology/neuroscience is the right career path for them and offer advanced training for practicing psychologists/therapists that are driven by evidence based neuro-scientific research. And oh I LOVE coffee! ☕️

PSA! Reaching out for help is hard as it is. Let’s not make it harder by invalidating people and their faith by not understanding why we struggle mentally.

I have always felt less of a woman if I was not married or was not giving birth to my offspring. Nothing I did was worth celebrating on that scale. Not me excelling in my career, not me graduating and not me being able to financially contribute to my family and become independent. Are these achievements not worth celebrating if I am not married or have children?

My dad always told me how him and his siblings grew up together. The endless laughter, the childhood epic adventures, the sticking it out no matter what happened. South Asian people have always relied on their sense of community. But what is happening to people in their 20s and 30s that are forced to leave everything they know behind for a better life. How will er regain our sense of family and community?
