As part of the nationwide celebration of Pakistanโ€™s 78th Independence Day, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) organized a solemn Flag Hoisting Ceremony to commemorate this historic milestone. The event was held on Monday, August 4th, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Dow Medical College, located on Baba-e-Urdu Road.

The purpose of this ceremony was to honor the resilience, unity, and sacrifices of the Pakistani people throughout the nationโ€™s journey to independence and beyond. It also aimed to instill a sense of national pride and solidarity within the university community.

The ceremony was graced by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Jahan Ara Hasan, who hoisted the national flag, marking the formal commencement of the event. The flag hoisting was accompanied by the national anthem, evoking deep feelings of patriotism and reverence among the attendees.

Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Nazli Hossain, Registrar Dr. Ashar Afaq, various Heads of Basic and Clinical Departments, and students were also present at the ceremony, adding to the solemnity and significance of the occasion.
