YDA Sindh Condemns Victimization of Doctors by Health Department

Karachi – August 1, 2025:
The Young Doctors Association Sindh strongly condemns the unjustified transfer of Dr. Suhail Sarki, a BPS- 18 officer of the Health Management Cadre, serving as Deputy Director in the TB Control Program at the Directorate General Health Services, Hyderabad.

Dr. Sarki had rightfully raised concerns in a media talk regarding the prolonged electricity outage at the DG Health Office, which has been facing a severe power crisis for the past month. He warned that the power breakdown could damage life-saving injections and high-value medicines stored in the facility, and appealed to WAPDA authorities to restore power on an urgent basis.

Instead of addressing the core issue and taking corrective measures, the Health Department has transferred Dr. Sarki, an act YDA Sindh views as retaliatory and highly demoralizing for the medical community.

Doctors are public servants, not criminals. Penalizing them for speaking the truth and protecting public interest is unacceptable.

YDA Sindh demands immediate reinstatement of Dr. Suhail Sarki and calls upon the Health Minister and Chief Secretary Sindh to take notice of this misuse of authority.

آج وائی ڈی اے سندھ کے پیٹرن ان چیف ڈاکٹر عمر سلطان اور صدر YDA ڈاکٹر وارث علی کی قیادت میں وفد نے جناح پوسٹ گریجویٹ میڈیکل سینٹر میں اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر میڈیکل ڈاکٹر صدام صالح سے ملاقات کی۔

وفد نے ڈاکٹر صدام کی تعیناتی کے بعد ہسپتال میں انفیکشن کنٹرول اور طبی خدمات میں نمایاں بہتری پر ان کی کاوشوں کو سراہا۔

ڈاکٹر صدام نے لیبارٹری میں “انفیکشن ڈیزیز ٹیسٹنگ اینڈ ریسرچ یونٹ” کا قیام، آئی سی یو میں جراثیم سے بچاؤ کے لیے جدید حفاظتی ساز و سامان کی فراہمی اور او پی ڈی کے لیے معیاری دواؤں کی فراہمی کے اقدامات کیے، جن کے نتیجے میں وینٹی لیٹر انفیکشن کی شرح میں ۸۰٪ کمی ہوئی۔

وائی ڈی اے سندھ نے ان کی حوصلہ افزائی کی اور ہسپتال کی بہتری کیلئے ہر ممکن تعاون جاری رکھنے کی یقین دہائی کرائی۔

جوائنٹ ایکشن کمیٹی (YDA& PMA) کی چولستان کینال منصوبے کی شدید مذمت-
“چولستان کے 12 لاکھ ایکڑ کے لیے سندھ کے 1 کروڑ 60 لاکھ ایکڑ زرعی رقبے کی تباہی ناقابل قبول ہے”

کراچی، 12 مارچ 2025 –
جوائنٹ ایکشن کمیٹی، جس میں ینگ ڈاکٹرز ایسوسی ایشن (YDA) اور پاکستان میڈیکل ایسوسی ایشن (PMA) شامل ہیں، چولستان کینال منصوبے کی سخت الفاظ میں مذمت کرتی ہے۔ یہ منصوبہ چولستان کے 12 لاکھ ایکڑ بنجر علاقے کو قابلِ کاشت بنانے کے لیے سندھ کے پانی کو موڑنے کی کوشش ہے، جس سے سندھ کے 1 کروڑ 60 لاکھ ایکڑ زرعی رقبے کو تباہی کا سامنا ہوگا۔

سندھ پہلے ہی پانی کی شدید قلت کا شکار ہے، اور اس منصوبے سے صورتحال مزید سنگین ہو جائے گی۔ پانی کی کمی سے زراعت تباہ ہو گی، فصلوں کی پیداوار کم ہوگی، زمین بنجر ہو جائے گی، اور غذائی قلت اور آلودہ پانی سے پیدا ہونے والی بیماریوں میں اضافہ ہوگا۔ یہ منصوبہ نہ صرف سندھ کی معیشت بلکہ عوامی صحت کے لیے بھی ایک بڑا خطرہ ہے۔

جوائنٹ ایکشن کمیٹی حکومت کو خبردار کرتی ہے کہ سندھ کے بچوں کے بنیادی حق، یعنی پانی، پر کوئی سمجھوتہ نہیں کیا جائے گا۔ ہم اعلان کرتے ہیں کہ سندھ بھر کے ڈاکٹروں کو متحد کرکے پانی کے حصول کے لیے بھرپور احتجاجی تحریک چلائیں گے۔

ہم مطالبہ کرتے ہیں کہ اس منصوبے کو فوری طور پر روکا جائے اور تمام متعلقہ فریقین کی مشاورت سے شفاف اور مساوی پالیسی پر عمل درآمد کیا جائے۔
