Chikungunya Awareness:

Chikungunya is a vector-borne disease transmitted by infected mosquitoes. The infection typically presents with symptoms such as fever, severe joint pain, muscular pain, joint swelling, headache, nausea, fatigue, and rash. The disease can significantly impact quality of life due to the intensity of symptoms, especially joint pain and swelling, which can last for months.

Preventative measures include using mosquito repellents, wearing long-sleeved clothing, and eliminating standing water where mosquitoes breed. There is no specific antiviral treatment for Chikungunya, so symptom management and supportive care are essential.

Stay informed and protect yourself from mosquito bites to reduce the risk of Chikungunya.
