DIABETES & RAMADAN: THE BIOLOGICAL "RESET BUTTON" FOR YOUR BODY
Many diabetic patients worry that fasting might make them weak or complicate their health. But what if I told you that Ramadan is actually a powerful "Reset Button" for your pancreas and liver?
In this video, I share the deep wisdom of my father, Hakeem Mursaleen, along with modern scientific breakthroughs to help you fast with strength and health.
What you need to know:
• The Wisdom of Tibb-e-Unani: My father used to say that Diabetes is often linked to a sluggish liver. Fasting rekindles 'Quwat-e-Masika' (the body's balancing force), allowing your blood to stabilize naturally.
• The Nobel Prize-Winning Science: Today, science calls this Autophagy. During a fast, your body enters a "Cleaning Mode," where cells repair themselves and naturally manage sugar levels. Fasting isn't just spiritual purity; it is a biological deep-clean!
3 GOLDEN RULES FOR A HEALTHY SEHRI:
1 Jau ka Daliya (Barley Porridge): This is the best fuel. It releases energy slowly throughout the day and prevents sudden sugar spikes.
2. The Herbal Shield: Use half a teaspoon of Methi Dana (Fenugreek) or Jamun Seed powder at Sehri to keep blood sugar stable.
3. Avoid the "Su***de Mission": Sugary drinks at Iftar/Sehri are extremely dangerous for diabetics. Avoid them at all costs!
Himat, Hikmat, aur Ramadan:
Don't let the sweetness of your blood overcome the strength of your courage. Fasting is about cleaning your blood and your soul.
- Important: Always follow your doctor's advice regarding your specific medication and routine.

WAR ANXIETY: HEADLINES, HEARTBEATS, AND YOUR PEACE OF MIND
From the Middle East to our own borders, the relentless news cycle of conflict is taking a toll on our collective mental health. If you find your heart racing after checking the news, or if insomnia is becoming your nightly companion, you are likely experiencing War Anxiety.
In the tradition of Hakeem Mursaleen, we believe that true healing begins when we address the balance between the mind and the body. In Unani medicine, this state of restlessness is called 'Izterab-e-Nafsani', a condition where external chaos creates an internal imbalance of heat and dryness in the brain.
Today, science backs what the ancient Hakeems always knew. When you are stressed, your body is flooded with Cortisol, keeping your nervous system in a constant "Fight or Flight" mode.
Here is how you can shield your mind and body naturally:
• The 60-Second Reset (Bee Breath):
Whenever you feel overwhelmed, try the 'Bhramari' or Bee Breath. Close your ears with your fingers, take a deep breath, and hum like a bee as you exhale. This sound frequency vibrates the Vagus Nerve, signaling your brain to shut down the stress response instantly.
• The Herbal Shield (Ashwagandha):
Ashwagandha is a powerful Adaptogen. It doesn’t just calm you down; it actually strengthens your nerves to handle future stress better.
- The Restorative Recipe:
• Ashwagandha (Asghand) Powder: 1 tsp
• Pure Rose Water (Arq-e-Gulab): 2 tsp
• Honey: 1 tsp
• Mix this into a glass of warm milk and drink it before bed. It cools your temperament (Mizaj) and ensures a night of deep, restorative sleep.
A Final Thought:
We may not be able to stop the storms raging across the world, but we must protect the light within ourselves. Ancient wisdom reminds us: "If you cannot stop the storm outside, light your inner candle so brightly that the darkness cannot touch you."

FAST OR FURY? Are you becoming a "Wabal-e-Jaan" for your family during Ramadan?
Ramadan is a time for peace and spirituality, but let’s be honest: Why do so many of us find ourselves exploding over the smallest things after 4:00 PM?
Most people call it "the fasting mood," but as a healthcare practitioner, I can tell you—it’s actually a biological and chemical reaction happening inside you.
Inside this video, I bridge the gap between Modern Science and Ancient Wisdom:
• The "Safra" (Yellow Bile) Effect: My father, Hakeem Mursaleen, always taught that internal heat in Ramadan is like "pouring oil on a fire." This heat doesn't just stay in your liver; it travels to your temperament.• The Cortisol Spike: Science proves that when your blood sugar drops and caffeine/nicotine withdrawal kicks in, your stress hormone—Cortisol—spikes. Your brain is essentially in "survival mode."• The 10-Second Rule: A simple biological hack to shut down anger before it starts.• The Cooling Protocol: Why Yogurt and Cardamom at Sehri are your best friends for mental peace.
Remember: Fasting is meant to be for the Tongue and the Heart, not just the stomach. Don't let your "Mizaj" (disposition) ruin your reward this month.
Do you struggle with anger during the final hours of the fast? Be honest in the comments below! (And tag that one friend or family member who gets a little too "hangry" while waiting for Iftar! )

Ramadan Mubarak! Many of you are probably sitting on your sofas right now feeling extremely heavy, bloated, or tired after Iftar. Most people blame the "Pakoras," but as a healthcare practitioner, I can tell you: The real culprit is the "Iftar Shock."
In this video, I’m sharing why breaking your 14-hour fast with ice-cold drinks is a "su***de mission" for your stomach.
What is the "Thermal Shock"?
When you pour freezing water into a warm, empty stomach, you paralyze your digestive enzymes. Your metabolism stops, and your body goes into a "coma." This is why you feel so sleepy during Tarawih!
The "Liver Switch" Secret:
Did you know that a single Date (Khajoor) is a biological necessity? It acts as a master switch that tells your liver and brain to wake up and start processing energy correctly.
Dr. Muqeem’s 3 Golden Rules for Iftar:
Avoid Ice Water: Stick to room-temperature water for the first few sips.
Activate the Switch: Eat a date and wait 10 minutes (pray Maghrib) before eating a heavy meal.
Don't overload your sensitive stomach in the first 5 minutes.
Healing is about Analytical Thinking. Let's fix our habits to ensure a healthy and energetic Ramadan for our families.

STOP! DO NOT MAKE THIS SEHRI MISTAKE
Ramadan Mubarak! As we prepare for the fast, I want to share a critical piece of medical and ancient wisdom that will change how you feel for the coming days. The Mistake: Most of us think drinking 2-3 liters of water at 4:00 AM will keep us hydrated.
The Reality: Your body is a FILTER, not a tank! Chugging water just flushes out essential minerals and leaves you dehydrated by 10:00 AM. Why are you "Hangry" (Hungry + Angry)?
If your Sehri is full of oily Parathas and sweet tea, you are causing a massive Insulin Spike. A few hours later, your sugar crashes, leaving you irritable, angry, and a "Wabal-e-Jaan" (a nuisance) for your family.

- The Brain Food: Switch to Barley (Jau ka Daliya). It’s a natural anti-depressant and provides "Slow Release" energy that lasts all day.
- The Water Lock: Eat foods high in Magnesium (Dates and Bananas). Magnesium helps your cells actually HOLD onto water.
- The Internal Drip: Use Isabgol or Tukh Malanga. These create a gel in your stomach that releases hydration slowly throughout the 15-hour fast.
Sehri is a time for worship and preparation, not a food competition! Let’s start this Ramadan with wisdom, health, and peace.

Headline: Stop Squeezing Pimples! The Real Problem is in Your Stomach.
Is your teenager struggling with persistent acne? Are you tired of buying expensive face washes that just don’t work?
Recently at my clinic, a mother came in with her daughter who was frustrated by dull, pale skin and constant breakouts. But when I checked her pulse (Nabhz), the story was different. Her skin wasn't the problem—her digestive system was crying for help! 📢
In Unani medicine, we know that the face is a mirror of the gut. When we consume too much MSG (Monosodium Glutamate), hidden food additives, and heavy spices, our "Mizaj" (temperament) becomes imbalanced. This "Phlegmatic" (Bulghami) imbalance is exactly what causes that stubborn acne and pale complexion.
Inside this video, I’m sharing:
• Why facial acne is actually a "stomach distress call."
• The danger of junk food and MSG for your skin.
• Why you should NEVER squeeze your pimples.
• A simple, 100% natural home remedy for clear skin.
Dr. Muqeem’s Clear Skin Remedy:
External: Mix Neem powder and Multani Mitti (Fuller's Earth) with Rose Water. Apply gently—do not scrub!
Internal: Switch to light, "Shorba" style meals and watery vegetables like cucumber to soothe the gut.

Apka Mizaj Kya Hai?
Have you ever wondered why some people are always energetic & warm, while others feel cold easily or get sluggish?
In Unani medicine, Mizaj (temperament) is your body's unique blueprint, determined by the balance of four humors (Dam, Balgham, Safra, Sawda) and qualities (hot-cold, wet-dry).
The four main types:

Damvi (hot & moist) — lively, sociable
Safrawi (hot & dry) — sharp, passionate
Balghami (cold & moist) — calm, steady
Sawdawi (cold & dry) — thoughtful, detail-oriented

Knowing your Mizaj helps you choose the right foods, herbs, routines, and Unani remedies to stay healthy and balanced naturally!

Watch this short video to learn the basics of Mizaj and why it's the first step in true healing in the Unani system.
Which temperament do you think matches you most?
Let's bring back time-tested wisdom for better health.

When your city floods, do you need a car or a tank? This video, made with Generative AI, shows what it feels like to navigate Karachi's streets during monsoon season. While it's a creative and even humorous take, it highlights a serious problem that residents face year after year. What a powerful way to use technology to show the reality of the situation!

Creating Threads of Unity was a wild ride! I dove into this project with an idea: showcasing Pakistan’s vibrant spirit through the story of young women weaving a flag together. What made it mind-blowing? I used AI to generate the music, with no instruments, just prompts, and crafted visuals that feel alive with hope. It’s like painting a philosophy of unity with tech! The flag they make isn’t perfect, but that’s the point; Pakistan’s story is still being woven, full of giggles, dreams, and possibility.
