World Peace Day, is observed on September 21st each year. It is a day dedicated to promoting and celebrating peace and non-violence worldwide. The United Nations established this day in 1981, and it provides an opportunity for individuals, organizations, and nations to work towards a more peaceful world through various activities and initiatives.Islam promotes the concept of peace, and the word "Islam" itself is derived from the Arabic word "Salaam," which means peace. Peace is a fundamental principle in Islamic teachings. Muslims are encouraged to seek peace in their personal lives, relationships, and interactions with others. The Quran, the holy book of Islam, contains numerous verses emphasizing peace, tolerance, and the resolution of conflicts through peaceful means.
Mission of and activities are centered around promoting peace, interfaith dialogue, and moderation within Islam. Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri is known for his efforts to counter extremism and terrorism while emphasizing the peaceful teachings of Islam.While Minhaj ul-Quran is just one of many Islamic organizations with a focus on peace, it has gained recognition for its work in promoting a message of harmony and non-violence within the Islamic faith.
