This is what astigmatism actually looks like, and it is one of the most common and most overlooked vision conditions out there.

Astigmatism happens when the cornea or lens of your eye is slightly irregular in shape instead of being perfectly round. This causes light to focus unevenly on the retina, which results in blurred or distorted vision at all distances. It can also cause eye strain, headaches, and difficulty seeing clearly at night.

The tricky part is that many people live with it for years without realising because the blur feels so normal to them. If the vision on the left side of this reel looks even slightly familiar, it might be worth getting your eyes properly checked.

Nearsighted (Door ki Nazar) or Farsighted (Paas ki Nazar)? They sound similar, but they are actually very different conditions, and knowing the difference matters more than you might think.

If you are nearsighted, close objects appear clear, but objects in the distance become blurry. Reading your phone is fine, but road signs or faces across the room are a struggle.

If you are farsighted, it is the opposite. Distant objects may look clear, but close-up tasks like reading or screen time cause strain, blurring, and tired eyes faster than they should.

Both conditions happen because of the way light focuses inside your eye, and both are far more manageable when caught early.
